CROCUSES ON THE FIRE PIT

Day 1:

06:00

Lutsk.

Departure from Lutsk/Rivne on the tour. Also, there is an opportunity to get a seat in Dubno, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk.

Transfer to the Carpathians, stop for breakfast on the way.

Arrival in Vorokhta. Photo stop near one of the stone bridges. We will take interesting photos on the background of the old bridge. (You can wear interesting themed clothes to make the photo even more colorful).

Lunch in a Hutsul kolyba, where we will taste delicious Carpathian dishes.

Transfer to Verkhovyna.

Walking on the top of Verkhovyna. The hiking route is 3.5 km long: Verkhovyna - mt. Shveykova - flagpole with a flag - observation deck - observation tower with a gazebo. Today we will stretch our legs a bit and walk around Verkhovyna, contemplating how Hutsuls live in the mountains, because the farms in the vicinity stretch for miles. The route will offer beautiful views and panoramas of Verkhovyna, which is nestled between the mountains in the valley of the Black Cheremosh River, and there will be an opportunity to watch the clouds forming over the mountain of Pip Ivan Chornohirsky from afar.

After a nice walk, we will visit the Verkhovyna Brewery, where we will taste real live beer.

Check in to a cottage with beautiful mountain views.

A hearty delicious Hutsul dinner.

If you wish, you can make a fire near the hotel, fry marshmallows or sausages).

Day 2:

Verkhovyna

Route: Kryvopil pass - Vesnarka meadow - mt. Kostrycha (1585 m) - Kryvopil pass (or Krasnyk village)

Distance: 12-15 km.

Difficulty: medium.

We wake up early, do some exercises, contemplating the veil of morning fogs that wrapped Verkhovyna like a downy featherbed.

After a hearty breakfast, we gather for a briefing before our photo hunt for the magical crocuses.

Moving to the Kryvopil pass. Today we are going to hike a route of medium difficulty, which is suitable for all age groups. The length is 12 km, the height is 600 meters. We start from one of the highest passes of the Ukrainian Carpathians at an altitude of 970 m above sea level, so the altitude gain will be small. Through the fabulous ancient forest we will climb to the Vesnarka meadow, where a blanket of spring saffron, as crocuses are called in this area, is spread out. After admiring the flowers and taking 100500 photos of them, we continue the route to the Kostrycha mountain, where incredible views of the entire Chornohora ridge with its highest peaks open up.

Return to the hotel, dinner in a friendly company, rest.

Day 3:

Verkhovyna.

Today we rest to our heart's content, have a delicious breakfast.

Cheese tasting. Today we will visit a wonderful place as a tasting room in the attic, where Mr. Oleg will tell in great detail about the various types of cheeses that are made in the Carpathians, both according to traditional recipes and the experience of European cheesemakers. This tour-tasting will appeal to the most demanding gourmets and cheese lovers.

Excursion to the Corkscrew Museum in Verkhovyna + Tasting is an ideal place for lovers of homemade young Transcarpathian wine, and there are about 900 corkscrews of various types. Home-made young wines, chacha and various tinctures are offered for tasting, and there will be a story about the history and types of corkscrews.

Optional: Horseback riding (400 UAH/person for 1 hour) for those who want to feel the harmony and tranquility of majestic nature and admire the mountain views without making much effort 😉

Lunch at the Instagram restaurant "Stara Vorokhta". It's probably impossible to understand, only the gods can feel the sound of a trembita or the fir fog in the morning.

23:00 is the approximate time of returning from the tour to Lutsk/Rivne.
