Hiking in Gorgany: Syvulya, Peklo street, waterfalls

Day 1

We meet at the railway station of Ivano-Frankivsk at 07:40. We have a delicious breakfast in a cafe.

We move to the village of Bystrytsia (approx. 2 hours), where we settle in a manor house and prepare to go to the mountains with small backpacks and the most necessary things.

Today we go a short route to the Tavpishirka ridge about 13 km.

We will visit the High-mountain Arboretum and go to the Yavorchyk plateau with an observation deck and picturesque views. There is a small lake near the forestry and you can walk along the eco-trail.

The Tavpishirka botanical reserve and the Salatruk protected area border the ridge. Somewhere in a cozy place we will have lunch with hot dishes from ІDLO and tea.

Tired and happy, we return to the estate, have dinner and rest.

Day 2

We have breakfast and prepare for a new adventure of about 20 km.

We move to the beginning of the hiking route and today we will climb Syvula (1836 m) - the highest mountain of the Gorgan massif. The top of Syvaya Mountain is covered with large stone rubble, often with moss.

Lunch-snack on a cozy clearing with delicious dishes from ІDLO.

Time to go to a bizarrely beautiful place located between the Syvula and Tavpishirka ridges. The Peklo tract is a steep cliff with a 100-meter sharp cliff, the top of which is covered with spruce forest.

Finally, we will visit the Salatruchil waterfall, 6 m high, which originates on the Tavpyshirka ridge (1503 m). It is divided into two cascades, and then flows into a shallow, but luxuriously beautiful, lake.

We return to the estate, have dinner and rest.

Day 3

We have breakfast and prepare for the final journey. Today we have a walking day by waterfalls. What will we see?

Roztoka Verkhniy Waterfall is a two-cascade waterfall up to 5 meters high on the Roztoka stream. It was formed at the intersection of a rock massif, where it is “squeezed” by massive stone blocks that form a picturesque canyon.

Roztoka Nyzhniy Waterfall. Located in the village of Pasichna is 850 meters lower on the same stream, where it flows into Bystrytsia-Nadvirnianska and has a height of about 1.5 m.

A picturesque rock is a natural monument from which a beautiful panoramic view of Bystrytsia-Nadvirnianska and the Chortka ridge opens.

Bukhtivetskyi waterfall is an incredibly beautiful 8-meter waterfall, the stream of which falls down a rocky wall, almost vertically, in two streams. Nearby there is a spacious clearing where you can rest.

Drip waterfall. Located nearby, 10 meters high. The water does not flow in a single stream, but breaks into a million droplets. On a hot day, a corner of such freshness is a real treasure.

Lunch and a snack near the waterfalls and transfer to the city of Ivano-Frankivsk.

If the weather permits and we have extra time, and your eyes do not get tired of the beauty of the waterfalls, then we will visit additional attractions: the 8-meter Chernyk waterfall, the 3-meter Bukhtivetsko-Bystrytskyi waterfall and the Dzvinka and Dovbush waterfalls. Or we will make a stop to inspect one of the most enduring strongholds of Ukraine - the 16th century Pniv Castle.

We will end the program at the Ivano-Frankivsk railway station no later than 20:00.
