Kamianets - Podilskyi

This unique city is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, due to the picturesque canyon of the river Smotrych and the huge concentration of architectural monuments. Kamianets ranks third in Ukraine for its number of architectural monuments. It was also recognized to be one of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine. The Old fortress (ХІІІ-ХVІІІ centuries) with St. Peter and Paul’s Cathedral (XVI century) has an interesting history that involved many changes to the castle. The gardens have a minaret and a sculpture of Our Lady, standing side by side. Here you will also find the oldest Сity hall in Ukraine (XV century). The old city is beautiful for walking and enjoying the natural and man-made beauty.

Khotyn

The impregnable Khotyn fortress (XIII-XX centuries) is a favorite among tourists and filmmakers. The 40-meter-high walls, 65 meter deep well, and wonderful views of the Dnister are very impressive. The fortress played an important and complex role in history, and you leave with lasting impressions of this amazing castle.

4

Bilche-Zolote

The Verteba cave is also called “ Pompea on the Dniester River” because it is unique in the world for its variety of magnificent features. The length of passage ways is 8 km. The temperature in the cave is always the same, +11 Celcius. The maze “Kamiana Solomka” is also very interesting because the surface of its ceilings are covered with thick stalactites that are 10-12 cm long. The Verteba cave is the first in the world to become an underground museum of archeology. The caves were discovered in 1884 by the Cucuteni-Trypillian culture with findings from the Neolithic age. You can view a diorama with Trypillian pottery, clay figurines, tools, and other intriguing finds from extensive archeological excavations.
