Departure from Lutsk on a tour to the underground world of the Optimistic Cave.
11:00 - arrival in the village of Korolivka. Briefing and preparation for our tour. Equipment rental.
Excursion to the "Central" area of the Optimistic Cave (4 hours) is unusual and very diverse, because the length of the labyrinths of its passages is more than 60 km. The area is located in a three-story labyrinth system. Each of them surprises with its beauty and diversity.
The Optimistic Cave is full of treasures, but you can only take out good photos from there. It's not gold or diamonds, but all the crystals, helictites and stalactites you will see in the cave are unique, so they are much more valuable.
The route consists of two parts.
During the first two hours, you will walk through the entrance area of the Optimistic Cave, see an interesting collection of various clay figures: mythical fish, mermaids, huge Cyclopes, and get to the underground museum, where all the secondary formations that are in the Optimistic Cave are presented under glass. You will see interesting exhibits brought from different parts of the cave: crystals, goethites, natellite formations, as well as Trypillian shards from other caves, placers of crystal "snow", etc.
In the second part of the tour, you will have to show endurance, because you will have to go through long galleries and walk through endless labyrinthine passages.
In the Yuri Averbakh Hall, you will see the water level of the underground lake that once was in this famous hall. The height of the water can be determined by the calcite crusts that remain on the walls of the cave hall. It is necessary to take into account the fact that the water level has fallen everywhere in the region, and in the cave it recovers much more slowly.
At the end of the trip, we will move to the beautiful city of Chortkiv, where we will visit the Pan Czartkowski restaurant-museum, the city's trademark. Here we will taste authentic Galician cuisine: zupky, banosh with machanka, fried palushky and many other interesting unique dishes.
