About the tour

TRANSCARPATHIAN VOYAGE

Tour dates:19-21.06,03-05.07

PROGRAM OF THE TRIP

1 DAY

06:00

Lutsk

05:00 - departure from Rivne for the tour.

Schönborn Palace. Our journey will begin with a visit to an amazing architectural building that looks like a small fairy-tale castle, called the hunting palace, which is one of the most beautiful and best preserved palaces in Ukraine. The castle is surrounded by a magnificent English park, the trees of which surprise with their power. We will walk through the forest and look into the most secret corners of the Schönborn Palace.

St. Miklos Castle. St. Miklós is not like other castles, there are no jagged walls, no suspension bridges, no peaked towers. It is a small two-story building with a tiled roof. It has no "regular" ghost. Only two towers, a large number of loopholes, and one-meter-thick walls testify to its tragic history of warfare. Once upon a time, the castle was protected by moats, ramparts, and a river (they are long gone). For seven centuries, it has changed many owners, and the most legendary was the Hungarian princess Ilona Zrinyi, whose story you will hear during your visit to this castle.

Palanok Castle. The ancient castle is visible from whichever side you approach Mukachevo. Shrouded in legends and military glory, it crowns with its mighty fortifications a lonely, peaked hill of a long-extinct ancient volcano that rises on the nearby plain.

The castle is shrouded in interesting legends and has a complicated history. The impregnable fortress could not be captured either by a surprise attack or a long siege. However, we will easily climb one of the bastions and add wonderful panoramic photos to our collection.

Check in to the hotel, have dinner, free time.

DAY 2

08:00

Synevyr

08:00 - Breakfast, departure for excursions on the tour Transcarpathian voyage.

Mineral springs of the villages. Kelechyn and Soimy. Transcarpathia has long been famous for its mineral springs, of which there are more than 300! Each spring has its own special composition and water properties. We will try and compare the water of Kelechyn and Soimy springs.

Rehabilitation center for brown bears. This is the only rehabilitation center for bears in Ukraine and Europe, which was opened in the territory of the Synevyr National Nature Park in late 2011. Everyone can see the wild animals that suffered from human domination. Both adults and children enjoy watching the animals swim in the pond or play exciting games. Currently, the center is home to about 20 orangutans.

Transfer to the Synevyr Lake. Shrouded in gray legends, Lake Synevyr is located in the middle of the picturesque Carpathian nature at an altitude of 988 meters above sea level.

The waters of Synevyr are so clean and clear that trout, a fish that can live only in crystal clear water, feel good in them. The lake was formed as a result of an earthquake, and three mountain streams flow into it, maintaining a high water level at any time of the year. The lake's surface is blue, but a small island protrudes from the water exactly in the middle. This picture looks like a blue eye with a dark eye in the center - that's why Synevyr got its second, very romantic name: Sea Eye.

A real Hutsul kolyba. Welcome to a real Hutsul kolyba, where the authentic ancient elements of Hutsul life are organically intertwined. You will learn how the Kolyba - a seasonal dwelling of shepherds and woodcutters, common in the mountainous regions of the Carpathians - has turned into Hutsul restaurants, where you will taste delicious and unusual traditional dishes.

Cable car to Mount Makovytsia. We will visit the longest lift in Transcarpathia. Its length is 1650 meters and the ride takes 20 minutes one way. We will admire the mountains from a bird's eye view and add to our collection of magnificent views. The Carpathians are very picturesque mountains, but the view from Makovytsia probably breaks all records of photogenicity.

Shypit waterfall. In the shade of the trees we will reach the most famous waterfall in the Carpathians - Shipit, which is second only to Synevyr in popularity among interesting objects. Every year, tens of thousands of travelers come to see and admire it. In every season, Shypit is beautiful in its own way. It is surrounded by forest, coolness and silence. The "Hiss" is noisy, water jets fall from a 14-meter height in several cascades and beautiful splashes are dispersed by a cloud of drops.

Return to our hotel, dinner, free time.

DAY 3

07:30 - breakfast, check-out. Transfer to Kosyno.

The Kosyno health and recreation complex consists of hot mineral pools with different temperatures and properties, located on the territory of a 200-year-old oak grove. It is fascinating and gives the impression of being in the middle of a dense forest.

The location of the complex near the border with Hungary has significantly influenced the style in which it is designed. Basically, this is the Austro-Hungarian style, which is characterized by white plaster and brown wood, specific carvings on it.

Cleanliness, comfort and truly European service will allow you not only to enjoy warm water, but also to take a good rest from everyday life. In addition, we will definitely visit and compare the complex of baths, the most popular in the world.

Hungarian cuisine is characterized by dishes prepared with red pepper, tomatoes and capsicum (the famous Hungarian goulash, chicken paprikash with dumplings and cabbage rolls). And also onions. The most famous onion variety, the mako, is grown in the vicinity of Kaluch, in the southern part of Hungary. Pork is traditionally used as a meat.

Paprika plays a leading role in almost all national dishes, such as goulash (a cross between a thick soup and a meat stew), pérekelt (a stew dominated by chopped onions), tokany (a dish similar to pérekelt) and paprikás (paprikás is the name given to all dishes with sour cream sauce and paprika), and pork soups.

We will have a great opportunity to taste all this and choose dishes to our liking. We especially recommend trying the pride of Hungarian national cuisine - bograch.

Wine tasting. In the wine-making center of Transcarpathia, we will taste wines from local winemakers. Here you will find out why Transcarpathian wines are so delicious and choose the best to bring home as a gift.

Returning home. Approximate arrival in Lutsk/Rivne at 22:30/23:30.
