HELP

Russia continues to shell Ukrainian cities. For two days in a row, the air alert lasted more than 5 hours in most regions. Due to the massive rocket attack, more and more Ukrainians are forced to hide. Where to look for shelter if there is no bomb shelter nearby and what not to take with you to the shelter, read on.

What do you need to remember when you are in a shelter?

Before going to the shelter, turn off the gas, electricity and water at home, close the windows and ventilation holes.

You can NOT take into the shelter:

• flammable substances;

• substances with a strong smell;

• bulky items.

While staying in the shelter, it is prohibited to:

• Walk around the room unnecessarily;

• Without permission to move objects;

• Arbitrarily enter office premises;

• Try to arbitrarily turn on or turn off equipment located in shelters;

• Open hermetic protective doors;

• Make noise;

• To smoke;

• Light an open fire.

When to leave the shelter?

You should leave the shelter only after the air alarm signal is sounded or in the event of an emergency condition of the room - due to a fire with a high concentration of harmful gases and lack of air

Evacuation from the shelter takes place through backup exits in case of blocking of the main one.

What to do if the shelter is damaged or collapsed?

In order to unlock the exit, do not wait for help from the outside. Instead, engage the people inside to unblock the exit if necessary.

What shelters can be used:

• Specially equipped bomb shelters — they differ from ordinary basements by a thick, reliable ceiling overhead, a ventilation system, and the presence of two or more exits to the surface;

• Underground passages;

• Metro stations;

• Parking lots;

Attention! Do not ignore the air alert and descend to the bomb shelters whenever necessary.

Remember that responsibility is the key to saving your life.

Keep calm and take care!
