Cash assistance for Ukrainians in Catalonia: details of receipt
Payments for refugees from Ukraine are being introduced in Spanish Catalonia. Learn how to get financial aid
The autonomous community of Spain in the north-east of the Iberian Peninsula, Catalonia, joined the help of the whole world and implemented a program to help Ukrainian refugees.
More than 13 million euros allocated by the Spanish government in August will go to help Ukrainian refugees in the region.
Who can apply for financial aid from Catalonia?
Those refugees who can provide proof that they lived in Ukraine at the time of the russian invasion can claim cash payments. Also, in order to receive assistance, you must prove that you do not have your own means of living and be registered in one of the municipalities of Catalonia.
How much money can Ukrainian refugees in Catalonia receive?
An adult can receive cash assistance in the amount of 400 euros per month, as well as 100 euros for each dependent child.
How to apply for financial assistance?
From December 15 to January 31, refugees from Ukraine who are currently in Catalonia can apply for benefits.
To apply, you must contact the Ministry of Equality and Feminism of Catalonia or one of its territorial offices.
The application on behalf of the child must be submitted by the guardian or one of the parents who will be the recipient of the funds.
What documents are required to apply for financial assistance?
• a document certifying the status of temporary protection;
• certificate of bank details.

The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.
Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.
Meals in hotels are provided through meals delivery service to rooms upon prior order or at hotel restaurants situated inside or in open areas, provided the distance of at least 1.5 meters between seats at adjacent tables.
