What is the Transport Bonus 2023 in Italy?
The Transport Bonus is a €60 bonus available for the purchase of an annual, monthly or multi-monthly season ticket for local, regional, interregional public transport or national rail transport.
A total of €100 million has been allocated for the 2023 transport bonus.
Who is eligible for the transport bonus in Italy?
Students, employees, pensioners and unemployed persons whose income in 2022 did not exceed 20,000 euros can receive a voucher for the corresponding assistance.
Please note! The voucher is personalized and can be used to purchase an annual or monthly pass during the current month.
You can also request the bonus online on the platform and purchase a ticket physically at the ticket office later by presenting the code received at the end of the procedure at the time of purchase.
How to apply for the Transport Bonus?
From 8 am on Monday, April 17, a digital platform for requesting the Transport Bonus for 2023 was launched.
The request can be made on the website - https://bonustrasporti.lavoro.gov.it/.
In order to access the platform, you must have a SPID (System for the Management of Digital Identification of Citizens and Enterprises) or CIE electronic identification card and provide your tax code.
"You will be able to apply online for assistance for yourself or for a minor dependent. Every Italian resident can apply for one transportation benefit per month until December 31, 2023, and until the resources are exhausted," the Ministry of Labor said in a statement.
