How can a foreign doctor get to Ukraine to help colleagues?
The Ministry of Health Care of Ukraine appeals to all foreign partners, colleagues and friends. At this difficult time, Ukraine's medical system needs resource support. Doctors are providing medical care around the clock to the roar of shells. However, there is now an urgent need for medical workers to help both across the front and in the rear.
The Ministry of Health Care invites all concerned foreign colleagues to respond and join the ranks of physicians working to save the lives of Ukrainian military and civilian victims of the war.
You can do this by:
- applying to diplomatic missions of Ukraine abroad (embassies, consulates) in the respective countries;
- by sending your resume to the email address [email protected]
After you register, in order to effectively plan, organize and allocate forces and resources, you will be purposefully directed by a coordinator to a specific hospital in the region of Ukraine, where help will be needed the most.
National coordinators' contacts:
Serhii Ubohov +38 067 231 7656, [email protected]
For English-speaking people: Mariana Sluzhynska +38 050 315 8418, [email protected]
Once you have identified the region in which you will be working, you will be contacted by a regional coordinator who will get in touch with you and help guide you from the border to your destination.
Also, for verification, you will receive a letter from the Directorate of Medical Personnel, Education and Science of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine ([email protected]) with a request to send scanned copies of documents confirming your medical education and professional qualifications specified in your questionnaire. Upon arrival at your destination, you must present these documents to the hospital manager. Protection of your personal data is guaranteed!
In turn, Ukrainian hospitals should promptly report and constantly update information on the need for medical staff to the regional health departments and to the address: [email protected]
