Ukraine is a country rich in a variety of industrial and technological companies that are known around the world. Some of them have become useful for millions of people, but they do not even realize that Ukrainians were involved in their development. We're going to tell you which brands and companies from Ukraine have become famous abroad.

It should be noted that one of the most successful areas that Ukrainians have managed to realize abroad is IT. This industry in Ukraine is currently in an active stage of development and is one of the fastest growing in the country.

Which Ukrainian IT companies have succeeded on the global stage?

Few people know, but the world-famous Apple uses the services of the Ukrainian company Readdle, founded by brothers Igor and Denis Zhadanov from Odesa.

The company creates applications for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. The most famous programs are Scanner Pro, PDF Expert, Calendars, Documents, and the Spark email client. The total number of app downloads exceeds 150 million.

In 2023, the whole world was impressed by the ChatGPT chatbot based on artificial intelligence (AI). However, Ukrainian specialists started using AI earlier and in a slightly different field. Meet People.ai (as of 2021, the market value was over $1 billion). People.ai was founded by Oleg Roginsky, a 34-year-old serial entrepreneur from Dnipro. The service specializes in collecting and analyzing data generated by sales managers to provide them with recommendations and, as a result, help them close deals faster and more efficiently.

For example, People.ai software can record and analyze employees' calendars and phone calls, which helps companies determine, for example, the best number of customers for one salesperson. The company's clients include such giant companies as Lyft, Zoom, Zendesk, New Relic, and Splunk.

Another AI-based program developed by Ukrainians is Grammarly. It is an online grammar and spelling checker used by millions of people around the world. The company was founded in 2009 by Ukrainians Alexei Shevchenko, Maxim Lyubachenko, and Dmitry Korobov.

Grammarly products are available in various interfaces: as a web editor, desktop applications for Windows and Mac, a browser extension (for Google Chrome, Safari, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge), an iPad app, mobile keyboards (iOS, Android), and an add-on for Microsoft Office.

Nova Post, a well-known company in Ukraine that specializes in express deliveries, began operating abroad after the outbreak of a full-scale war in 2022. Today, under the Nova Post brand, the company has opened 31 branches in Poland and another in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius.

The company is in demand among Ukrainians living abroad. In the near future, the Ukrainian postal organization plans to open offices in Romania and Germany.

Another Ukrainian company that has become very popular abroad and is in demand in more than 70 countries is the Jooble service. It is an international job search site used by millions of people every day.

The company has been operating in the online recruitment market since 2006. Since then, the company has grown from a startup founded by two students, Roman Prokofiev and Evgeny Sobkarev, to a global employment platform. Today, Jooble is among the top 10 most visited websites in the world in the Jobs And Employment segment, according to SimilarWeb.

There are quite a few Ukrainian companies that have become popular in the tech sector. One of them is Ajax Systems, owned by Ukrainian Oleksandr Konotopskyi. This company specializes in the development and manufacture of professional security systems. In 2022, the company opened a plant in Turkey. In addition, in 2023, the company plans to actively develop its business in North and Latin America.

One of the most popular banks in Ukraine, Monobank, has announced the launch of a fintech project similar to the Ukrainian one on the Polish market. The product will be called stereo in Poland and will provide free transfers to Ukraine. This is especially relevant for the large Ukrainian community that has moved to Poland to escape the war.

The project works with the local bank Aion, owned by the American private equity fund Warburg Pincus.

It is worth noting that these and many other Ukrainian companies continue to showcase their talent and innovative ideas on the global stage, making Ukraine proud with their achievements in business and technology.

We remind you! Ukrainian resources are of great global importance. It is not without reason that their total value is estimated not even in billions but in trillions of dollars. Read more about which Ukrainian resources are critically important for the whole world in our article.
