How can Trump's return change the course of the war in Ukraine?

Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated his inclination and sympathy for putin, both during his presidency and in his recent statements. Therefore, it is likely that the course of the war in Ukraine will also depend on the US elections in 2024.
What is Trump's position on the war in Ukraine?
During his last interview, the former US president said very eloquently that if he returned to power, he would end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. When asked how he proposes to do this, Trump did not give an answer.
In addition, he refused to wish Ukraine victory and did not say who he supported in this bloody war.
These statements caused a lot of outrage and comments from the international community. Even Trump's fellow party members criticized him. In one of the statements, he was called a puppet of putin and noted that he should not lead the Republicans in the White House.
It is important to note that Trump also has a personal grudge against Volodymyr Zelenskyy because his attempts to force the Ukrainian president to make a statement on the corruption investigation against Biden before the 2020 election led to the defeat and the first impeachment of the former American president.
In his interview, Zelenskyy expressed hope that Ukraine would win the presidential election in the United States.
How might a Trump presidency affect putin and the course of the war in Ukraine?
Firstly, the prospect that Donald Trump may be re-elected in the US elections is likely to push putin to prolong the war. After all, he may hope that under Trump's rule, military support for Ukraine will decrease or even disappear. And this is quite possible, as he has already done so in the past, despite the fact that the aid was approved by Congress.
Secondly, we should take into account not only putin's affection for Ukraine, but also the former American president's personal motives. After all, given the experience, when Trump demonstratively withdrew from the Paris Climate Agreement and destroyed the nuclear deal with Iran in order to destroy Barack Obama's "legacy". He could just as easily turn the current US policy 180 degrees and completely cut off diplomatic, financial and military support for Ukraine, ignoring Biden's position that the US will help "as long as it is needed".

How does Europe view Trump's policy?
The EU and the UK are also concerned about Trump's statements, because if he returns to power and blocks support for Ukraine, there is a high probability that putin will gain an advantage and try to end the war on russia's terms. And this is an unacceptable event for the West, as the whole of Europe will be at risk.
In addition, British analysts have concluded that putin did not have a plan B when he launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, but after Trump's remarks, his plan B is to wait.
At the same time, it should be borne in mind that all the former US president's loud statements may be part of his election campaign, which he is successfully implementing against the backdrop of events in Ukraine. After all, the main idea that he has been promoting for years is that America pays too much attention to helping other countries and should focus on its internal problems.
Should we be concerned about Trump's statements on the war in Ukraine?
According to world leaders, Americans will support Ukraine in any case, regardless of who is in the White House. After all, the russian-Ukrainian conflict is based on the struggle for freedom, and US citizens highly value constitutional rights and freedoms.
In addition, according to experts, even if the United States stops providing financial assistance and supplies of military equipment and weapons, Ukraine will not lose this war. After all, Ukrainians have proven to the whole world their determination in the fight against russian invaders and demonstrated incredible strength by holding back russian troops without Western support at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also confirmed that he was not afraid of the US presidential election: "I think the US elections are in a year. Who knows where we will be. I believe that we will win by then. So we will see," - he said during an interview with CNN.
