USAID has launched a new $2 million grant program for Ukrainian businesses. Learn more about how to apply and receive funds
USAID's Competitive Economy Program has announced a new grant initiative to support Ukrainian businesses with $2 million in funding. Here's who can participate and how to apply.
New grant from USAID: details
The program provides for about 30 grants, the amounts of which will range from $35,000 to $90,000.
The grant initiative is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Startup Fund, and the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development.
It is noted that the priority sectors for expanding Ukrainian exports include agricultural and food products, information technology products and services, as well as the furniture industry, and others.
In particular, the USAID program gives preference to industries such as:
- information technology
- engineering
- manufacturing
- creative industries;
- services when providing grant support.
However, the program is open to applications from other sectors that meet the selection criteria, including businesses with no previous experience of cooperation with international donors.
How to apply for a USAID grant?
Applications will be accepted until September 15, 2023.
Please note that applications will be reviewed in stages, taking into account the following deadlines:
- June 25 (for trade events from August 20, 2023, to February 14, 2024);
- September 15, 2023 (for trade events from February 15, 2024, to August 15, 2024).
