Greece extends temporary protection for refugees from Ukraine: new terms

The Greek government has extended the period of temporary protection for Ukrainian citizens for another six months. The corresponding decision was made by the Minister of Migration and Asylum Dimitris Kairidis, ekathimerini.com reports.
As you know, the previous six-month period of temporary status expired on September 4.
How long has Greece extended the temporary protection for Ukrainians?
Now Ukrainians will be able to enjoy temporary protection in Greece until March 4, 2024. The relevant residence permits will also continue to be valid until that date.
In addition, for Ukrainians seeking asylum in Greece, the Ministry of Migration and Asylum has created an information portal that provides information in Ukrainian, English and Greek.
How many Ukrainians are there in Greece?
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Greece has provided asylum to 25 thousand refugees.
In the country, refugees are entitled to free public health care and access to education. They are also given the opportunity to use temporary housing at the reception center in Sintiki.

The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
