Skiing, snowboarding, sledging and other winter activities

For an active family holiday, western Ukraine is an ideal solution, as there is an incredible number of winter attractions where both adults and children can find something to their liking.

Among the most popular options: Bukovel, Dragobrat, Dzembronia, Slavske, Pylypets, Verkhovyna.

Bukovel

Bukovel is a classic. Not only Ukrainians but also many foreigners know about it. It has a high level of service, convenient infrastructure - the most necessary things are just a stone's throw away, and, of course, guaranteed snow! In Bukovel, everyone will find something to their liking - relaxation, spa treatments, incredible views, fresh mountain air, opportunities for extreme tourism, countless traditional winter activities - skiing, skating, snowboarding, Christmas shops and fantastic creatures. Come to the winter fairy tale of Bukovel with Visit Ukraine.

Dragobrat

Dragobrat is lesser known than Bukovel, but no less fantastic. Located at an altitude of 1300-1700 m above sea level, it is the highest ski resort in Ukraine. Dragobrat has all the attributes of a comfortable resort, especially for improving health - the resort is hidden between ancient coniferous forests. Nearby are the high mountains: Gendarmes and Blyznytsia, and in the distance you can see Hoverla. The location of the resort - it's like a natural horseshoe - ensures a stable snow cover from November to May.

Dzembronia

Mount Dzembronia and the nearby village of the same name have long been famous for their extraordinary views. It is home to the pearl of the Carpathians, the Smotrytsky Waterfalls, which are extremely beautiful both in summer and winter. And if you love ancient beliefs, you can go to the Eared Stone - according to legend, pagans used to perform their rituals here, glorifying the sun god. In any case, you will have an incredible experience!

Slavske

The ski resort in Slavske is one of the oldest in Ukraine. Back in the 19th century, Gradley entrepreneurs started a tourist business here. The mountains of Slavske gained maximum popularity in the 70s and 80s of the last century, when sports ski schools were founded here. So we invite you to go down from the Pohar and Elsa mountains, touch the history of skiing and see the incredible beauty of the Carpathians with your own eyes.

Pylypets

Pylypets is an incredible find for extreme sports enthusiasts, especially skiers and snowboarders. Mount Hymba, 1497 m high, is equipped with three lifts to suit every taste: the first and third slopes are gentle, the middle ones are steep and uneven. There are also hotels, cafes, Transcarpathian traditions and customs - absolutely everything for a comfortable winter holiday.

Verkhovyna

Verkhovyna is the cradle of Hutsul culture and one of the most atmospheric places to celebrate Christmas. Here you can see with your own eyes how Hutsul magicians - molfars - work, see the traditional decorative and applied art of the Hutsuls and the incredible collection of musical instruments of Roman Kumlyk. Touch the heart of the Hutsul region and celebrate a real Transcarpathian Christmas in Verkhovyna.

Christmas Lviv - a timeless classic

Every Ukrainian should visit Lviv for the Christmas and New Year holidays at least once in their lives. After all, it is here that you can feel a special Christmas atmosphere that can hardly be found in any other city in Ukraine. Moreover, you can either wander the streets of the city on your own, enjoying the romance of Lviv, or book a full-fledged tour, visiting the most interesting locations that you will definitely remember for the rest of your life.

In Lviv, you should definitely visit the following locations before Christmas:

- Angels Square - on 24 December, a traditional procession with a didukh will take place here;
