The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the "List of Paid Services Provided by the Units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police and the State Migration Service and the Amount of Payment for Their Provision".
The relevant updates will lead to an increase in the cost of a number of services provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs starting from January 1, 2024.
We will tell you how the prices will change next year in the article.
How much will it cost to take exams, register a car and other important services?
From the beginning of 2024, the cost of such services will increase at the territorial service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs:
- Issuance of a driver's license for the right to drive vehicles will increase from UAH 26 to UAH 230.
- The cost of taking a theory exam will be UAH 250 instead of the previous UAH 13.
- The practical exam will cost UAH 420, compared to the previous UAH 13.
- Registration, re-registration of wheeled vehicles will cost from UAH 200 to 350, including issuance of a registration certificate, electronic generation and assignment of an alphanumeric combination of license plates, as well as deregistration of a vehicle with the issuance of an accounting card and license plates for one-time trips.

In addition, the Government has changed the validity period of the certificate of authorization for the transportation of fuel and explosives issued by the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. These documents are now valid for 1 year, and their automatic renewal for the duration of martial law has been canceled.
It is noted that in 2023, the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs issued and extended the term of more than 40 thousand such certificates for the transportation of dangerous goods.
From now on, to obtain certificates, organizations and carriers must apply to the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where specialists conduct technical control and check the suitability of transport for the transportation of dangerous goods. All vehicles of the EX/II, EX/III, FL, AT, MEMU N and O categories will be issued a certificate only after successful completion of the inspection.
We remind you! It is possible to drive abroad in someone else's car, but there is an important nuance. Find out what documents are required to cross the Ukrainian border in someone else's car and how to obtain a vehicle registration certificate for traveling abroad.
