Romania has announced the creation of a new airline, Bees Airlines, whose name and design resemble the Ukrainian airline Bees Airline, the difference between which is only one letter - "s". This was reported by avianews.com.

According to the official website of this airline, the company is currently undergoing the certification process and plans to make its first flight from the Romanian capital, Bucharest, in the spring of 2024.

It is noted that Romanian Bees Airlines plans to operate international charter flights to various destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa, using a capacity of 180 seats on board an Airbus A320 aircraft.

According to airfleets.net, Bees Airlines is preparing to launch an Airbus A320 aircraft under the registration number YR-BUZ, which was manufactured in 2003 and previously used in the UK and Australia.

In particular, avianews.com sent inquiries to the CEO of Ukrainian Bees Airline Yevhen Khaynatsky and to the office of Romanian Bees Airlines regarding the launch of the airline, but no responses were received by the time of publication.

As you know, before the start of the full-scale russian invasion in February 2022, Ukrainian Bees Airline lost its entire fleet due to the recall of four Boeing 737-800 aircraft by the lessor due to military risks.

In the summer of 2022, the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine issued a decision to revoke Bees Airline's operator's certificate because it had less than two aircraft in its fleet, which is the minimum requirement for maintaining the certificate.

This circumstance prevented the Ukrainian Bees Airline from continuing to operate internationally, unlike such Ukrainian airlines as SkyUp, Windrose and Skyline Express (formerly Azur Air Ukraine).

We remind you! Despite the cancellation of flights, Ukrainian airlines are taking measures to ensure their operations and retain their staff. Find out more about where Ukrainian airlines have established hubs and continue to operate.
