So, let's move on to our top locations for a trip this spring.
Butsky Canyon
A true natural masterpiece located on the Hirskyi Tikych River in the Cherkasy region. It is an ideal place for hikers and picnickers to enjoy picturesque views and clean air.
The canyon itself is small, about 5 km long. However, its landscapes look like something out of a film. At the same time, there is a very ancient history here: the Gorny Tikich River flows in Proterozoic granites, which are estimated to be 2 billion years old, and forms a deep (up to 20 m) and narrow (sometimes 20-40 m) canyon, one of the ledges of which is Rodionov's Rock.

Shypit waterfall
One of the most poetic places in the Carpathians. In spring, the waterfall is especially full and majestic. This place is surrounded by myths and legends, which adds to its special charm. The Shipot Waterfall is also included in the list of the Seven Wonders of Ukraine and is considered the brightest and most colourful waterfall in Transcarpathia.
The waterfall is located in one of the most picturesque districts of Transcarpathia - Mizhmiskyi, not far from the village of Pylypets and the famous Synevyr Lake. It is also close to the Volovets railway station.
Aktovsky Canyon
A unique work of nature located in the Mykolaiv region. This canyon impresses with its incredible rock formations and wildlife. Walking through the canyon, you can find many rare plants and animals.
The Aktovsky Canyon is also known as the Devil's Canyon or Small Crimea because of its similarity to the Grand Canyon of the Crimea. It is part of the Buzky Gard National Nature Park. There are a lot of legends and tales about the Cossacks associated with this place, but the undeniable truth is that it is worth a visit.
Narcissus Valley
The flowering season of the Narcissus Valley, which is located in Transcarpathia, will soon begin. Every year, thousands of tourists come to this location to enjoy this beauty.
A rare and beautiful natural phenomenon is located near Khust in Zakarpattia. In spring, the fields are covered with wild daffodil flowers, creating incredibly picturesque landscapes. Usually, the season of these flowers begins in May, so don't miss this opportunity and visit this wonderful place.

Chernivtsi
The city in Bukovyna is also called a small Paris. It offers unique architecture and atmosphere. In spring, the city's streets and parks are filled with bright colours, and the famous Chernivtsi University looks particularly impressive.
It is also worth noting the hospitality of the locals, who are always happy to welcome guests in their cosy and unique cafes, bakeries and other establishments.
Dzembronia
One of the most picturesque and unspoilt places in the Ukrainian Carpathians, located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. This secluded corner is part of the Carpathian National Nature Park and attracts travellers with its wildlife, crystal-clear mountain rivers and stunning panoramas.
Dzembronia is considered the highest mountain village in Ukraine. It is here that the route along the Montenegrin ridge often starts. Vasyl Stefanyk and Lesya Ukrainka visited Dzembronia. These places also inspired Sergei Parajanov to make the film Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors.
Lake Rosokhan
The Ivano-Frankivsk region has always surprised with its landscapes and natural gifts. One of them is Lake Rosokhan. It is located in a stone bowl of the Gorgany mountain range at an altitude of 1120 metres, and the water in it is so clear that you can see every pebble on the bottom. The lake has a beautiful turquoise hue, but the water always remains cold.
There are no signs of microorganisms, which may indicate the presence of minerals in the water. The lake also resembles a location from science fiction films, where mysterious forest creatures gather to perform rituals.

Smotritsky Canyon
The only geological formation in Ukraine that is located in the middle of a big city. There is no such natural object along the entire length of the Smotrych River. The canyon stretches for 9 km and covers an area of 80 hectares (the right bank is 27.7 hectares and the left bank is 52.3 hectares).
The facility is located in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi (Khmelnytskyi region) and its surroundings. And this canyon is definitely worth visiting in the near future.
These places are just a part of what Ukraine has to offer in spring. Each of them has a unique atmosphere and beauty, making spring travel in Ukraine an unforgettable experience. When planning your trip, it is important to consider the current situation and possible security restrictions.
