Turkish Airlines plans to expand its presence in Poland by launching additional flights from Krakow and Warsaw. These new routes should be put into operation in the summer of 2024, although it is worth noting that the arrival of tourists may be difficult due to technical problems and a 5-10% increase in ticket prices announced by low-cost airline Ryanair. This was reported by Avianews.

Additional flights to Poland from Turkish Airlines: why they are launched

Turkish Airlines emphasizes that the decision is based on the growing demand for flights from Poland over the past two years.

In particular, the shutdown of airports in Ukraine since February 24, 2022 has forced Ukrainians to use the services of Polish, Romanian and Moldovan airports.

It is expected that the tourism sector will recover to its previous level of development in the summer of 2024 for the first time since the pandemic. In order to carry more passengers, Turkish Airlines will launch additional flights.

As it is known, since March 31, Turkish Airlines has been operating 14 flights a week between Istanbul and Warsaw, while in the summer of 2023, the frequency of flights was 10 times a week.

Also, since March 31, the Turkish airline has increased the frequency of flights on the second Polish route Istanbul-Krakow from three to four times a week, and from June it will increase the number of flights on this line to seven per week.
