Entering a postgraduate program is an important step for everyone who aspires to a scientific career. There are many universities in Ukraine that offer quality education at postgraduate level. With reference to Finance.ua we tell you how much you will have to pay to get this degree in the leading universities of Ukraine.


Ivan Franko National University of Lviv


LNU is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Ukraine, offering postgraduate programs in various fields, including humanities, natural and social sciences.


In the public domain today there are only prices for 2023. Thus, the cost of training a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in postgraduate programs amounted to 155,562 UAH for four years, for the first year of study - 41,278 UAH. Prices are unified for all specialties.


National University Lviv Polytechnic


National University “Lviv Polytechnic” is one of the oldest and largest technical universities in Ukraine. The university offers a variety of educational programs and actively participates in international scientific projects.


The cost (also for 2023) of postgraduate studies at Lviv Polytechnic differs depending on the specialty:


- Education/Pedagogy: 186,900 UAH for four years of study, 56,070 UAH for the first year of study.

- Law: 194,000 UAH for four years, 58,200 UAH for the first year.

- Information Technology: 190,000 UAH for four years, 57,000 UAH for the first year.


In general, the prices for one year of study at this university start from 55,500 and reach 58,200 UAH.


Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University


Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University is one of the largest and most prestigious universities in Western Ukraine. The university offers a wide range of educational programs.


The cost of four-year postgraduate studies at Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University varies depending on the specialty:


- Mathematics: 162,000 UAH for four years.

- Education/Pedagogy: 172,000 UAH for four years, 43,000 UAH for one year of study.

- Business and Commerce: 208,000 grads for four years, 52,000 grads for one year of study.

- Software Engineering: 212,000 UAH for four years, 53,000 UAH for one year of study.

- Law: 210,000 UAH for four years, 52,500 UAH for one year of study.


In general, prices for one year of study at this university start from 43,000 and reach 53,000 UAH.

Uzhgorod National University


Uzhgorod National University is a leading educational and research center in the Transcarpathian region. The university offers various postgraduate programs focused on training highly qualified specialists.


The cost of a year (data for 2023) of study at Uzhgorod National University varies from 40,000 to 48,000 UAH depending on the specialty. The most expensive specialties are:


- Dentistry: 48,000 UAH.

- Medicine: 46,000 UAH.

- Law: 45,000 UAH.


National Technical University Dnipro Polytechnic


This university is considered one of the leading technical universities in Ukraine, known for its contribution to the development of engineering and technical sciences. The university offers quality education and modern scientific research.


The tuition fee is the same regardless of specialty and is 189,000 UAH for four years of study and 50,000 UAH for the first year of study.


I.I. Mechnikov Odessa National University


The I.I. Mechnikov Odessa National University is one of the oldest universities in Ukraine, known for its traditions and high standards of education. The University offers a wide range of postgraduate programs.


The cost per year of postgraduate study for any specialty in 2023 is 32,998 UAH.


Sumy State University


Sumy State University is a dynamically developing university known for its innovative approaches in education and science. The University is actively involved in international projects and cooperation.


The fee for the training of applicants for higher education of the degree of Doctor of Sciences in all specialties from June 2024 is 35,000 UAH per year of study.


National Technical University Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute


Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute is one of the largest technical universities in Ukraine, known for its innovations and scientific achievements. The university offers a wide range of postgraduate programs.


The cost of education on the contractual form in the postgraduate program is 31 141 UAH per academic year.


We remind you! In 2024, deferment from mobilization for students of foreign and Ukrainian universities is possible if they receive higher education on a full-time basis.
