The Baltic Sea will be accessible by train from Warsaw: which resorts to visit

Visitors to Poland and anyone wishing to visit the country's seaside resorts will find it easier to get from Warsaw to the Baltic coast. The Polish railway carrier is launching services to resort towns in the north of the country. Find out how the trains will run, where to go and what to see there

Poland is re-establishing a train service between Warsaw and the country's Baltic coast, which will make travelling easier for tourists and locals alike. The resumption of this route from 22 June provides a great opportunity to discover the diversity of Polish resorts on the Baltic Sea coast.


We will tell you how to take advantage of a Polish seaside flight and where to go using this opportunity.


Trains from Warsaw to the Baltic coast ran last year. More than 100 thousand passengers took advantage of these flights.


Where will the train run to?


The train will make stops at the following stations:


- Warsaw (Western, Central, Eastern).

- Gdansk.

- Sopot.

- Gdynia.

- Ustka.


The first train will depart from Warsaw-Zahidna at 6:40 a.m. and arrive in Gdańsk at 9:55 a.m. and in Ustka at 12:22 p.m. Tickets for the Warsaw - Ustka train will cost PLN 75 (regular) and PLN 36.75 (student), and a ticket for the Warsaw - Troisto train will cost PLN 60 (regular) and PLN 30 (student).

What to visit in cities on the Baltic Sea coast?


Sopot


Sopot, located between Gdansk and Gdynia, is one of the most famous resorts in Poland. This city is famous for its sandy beach, which stretches for several kilometres, as well as the famous wooden pier (breakwater), which is the longest in Europe.


What to visit? Sopot's breakwater, Krzywy Domek, Opera Leśna, numerous cafes and restaurants on Monte Cassino.


Gdańsk


Gdańsk, one of the oldest cities in Poland, has a rich history and cultural heritage. This port city offers many museums, historic buildings and beautiful beaches.


What to visit? The Long Market (Długi Targ), the World War II Museum, St Mary's Church, the Gdańsk Crane, the beach in the Brzeźno district.


Gdynia


Gdynia is a modern port city that is part of the Trujmisto agglomeration together with Gdańsk and Sopot. Gdynia is known for its festivals, museums and picturesque views of the Baltic Sea.


What to visit? The Naval Museum, Gdynia Aquarium, Kosciuszko Embankment, Open`er Festival.


Ustka


Ustka is a small resort town known for its beaches and historic buildings. It is also a popular destination for spa treatments.


What to visit? Ustka lighthouse, promenade, historic city centre, bread museum.
