55th UFW season: returning to Ukraine
The previous four seasons of UFW were held abroad as part of the Support Ukrainian Fashion Initiative. The events took place in London, Copenhagen, Los Angeles, Lisbon, Berlin and other cities.
This decision was made to support the Ukrainian fashion industry in times of war and to enable Ukrainian designers to present their collections to a global audience.
“Our resilience is a testament to the strength of the fashion industry, solidarity and indomitable spirit of Ukrainian designers,” says Irina Danilevskaya, co-founder and CEO of Ukrainian Fashion Week. "We firmly believe that it is impossible to imagine the essence of Ukraine without the creativity of our designers. Our mission is to demonstrate our creative power and Ukrainian resilience to the world. That's why we decided to bring Ukrainian Fashion Week back to Kyiv to support the country's fashion industry and inspire people to keep creating."
Despite the war, Ukrainian designers continue to create. “And the voice of Ukraine will continue to be heard,” emphasizes Iryna Danylevska.
Ukrainian Fashion Week will also continue to implement the International Seasons format. This means that Ukrainian designers will be able to present their collections on the catwalks of other European cities this season.
The return of Ukrainian Fashion Week to Kyiv is a symbol of the resilience and unity of the Ukrainian fashion industry. It is also an important event for Ukrainian culture and economy.
We remind you! Five Ukrainian villages, namely Vorokhta, Zelenyi Hai, Kvasy, Olyka and Urych, have applied for participation in the prestigious global tourism competition from the World Tourism Organization.
