Don't create the stereotype that a good beach vacation is only possible in Odesa, which is now as crowded as possible. We have prepared for you a selection of the best beach locations in the Lviv region for a wonderful vacation by the water.

Lake in Bryukhovychi

There are 3 lakes in Bryukhovychi, but only one is equipped for swimming. It is located on the territory of the Korsa recreation complex. The beach here is sandy, the lake is not deep, and the entrance is gentle. Therefore, this location is perfect for families with children. 

All the necessary infrastructure is available on the beach: restrooms, changing rooms, showers. For an additional fee, you can rent sun loungers, umbrellas, and gazebos. You can also use a separate VIP area for up to 40 people. Among the available entertainment are walks on rafts, boats and catamarans, there are cafes and bars.

The beach is open from 09:00 to 21:00. By public transport, you can get here by bus routes #8a and #22. If you are traveling by car, then from the center of Lviv via Kurortna and Plyazhna streets.

Lake Zadorozhne

The depth of this lake reaches 27 meters, as it is located on the site of the former Drohovychi limestone quarry. That is why it is sometimes nicknamed "Baikal". Here you can not only relax by the water, but also go fishing. This lake has several separate beach areas, each with its own rules.

For an additional fee, you can use numerous amenities: rental housing, gazebos, parking, restaurants and bars, sup-boards, etc. The beach is open from 8.30 to 23.23. The distance from Lviv is 43 km. By public transport, you can get here by trains "Lviv-Truskavets", "Lviv-Morshyn" and "Lviv-Lavochne". If you are traveling by car, then move towards Mykolaiv and turn to the village of Drohovych before the city, then turn right before the railway crossing.

The beach at Albatross

In the village of Volia-Homulecka, you can relax on a beautiful lake on the territory of the Albatross base. The beach here is well-groomed, clean, and has a gentle entrance, so it is suitable for families with children. The beach infrastructure is fully equipped, with cafes, shops, huts, gazebos and barbecues available.

The lake is open to the public from 8:00 to 23:00. By public transport from Lviv, you can get here by route 22. If you have a private car, take the Kyiv highway to Volia-Homulecka, then go to Ozerna Street, 6 (16 km from the city).

Lake in Murovane

This lake is surrounded by sandy beaches, and right in the middle of the endless water surface you can see a small island. On the beach, you can rent a gazebo, barbecue, or play volleyball. The available infrastructure includes restrooms, changing rooms, and trash cans. Unfortunately, there are no sunbeds or showers. However, there is a shop not far from the beach.

The beach is open from 10:00 to 21:00. By public transport, you can get here by buses #9, #114. By car - drive to the end of the village of Murovany and turn right. The distance from Lviv is 14 km.

The beach at Viking Bay

"Viking Bay is a recreation complex in the Old Village. This place is well-groomed and clean, with a clear lake, sandy beaches, a gentle entrance, water attractions, and other necessary infrastructure for families with children.

In addition to the basic infrastructure (showers, toilets, changing rooms, sunbeds), there are also restaurants, bars and a shop, catamaran, boat and kayak rental, even an equipped children's town, an amusement park and a rope park, an equestrian club and a spa. There are special places for fishing.

The beach is open to visitors from 9:00 to 21:00. If you want to come here by car, you need to move towards the village of Bibrka, turn right after the Old Village and drive 1.5 km to the complex. The distance to Lviv is 24 km.

Recreation center "Palmira Resort"

The modern Palmira Resort recreation complex is located in the village of Pidberiztsi. This place is also known as a nightclub, but during the day visitors relax on the beach. Here you can enjoy a clean beach, a shallow lake with a gentle entrance, which is great for kids. 

You can also rent sun loungers, gazebos, and barbecue. The complex has a stage, children's attractions, and playgrounds. Beach parties and light shows are held here, and you can play beach volleyball and football on specially equipped grounds.

The complex is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00. You can get here by any bus going to Zolochiv. If you are driving your own car, go to Vynnyky and take the roundabout, from the junction - another 500 meters in the direction of Pidberiztsi, turn right and in 200-300 meters there will be a lake.

Lake in Sukhovol

This lake is located on the site of a limestone quarry. However, despite its origin, the lake is shallow and has a gentle entrance. Here you can enjoy a calm and cozy atmosphere, clear water and sandy beaches. The lake in Sukhovol is surrounded by a coniferous forest, which adds a special charm to this place.

There are two lakes in Sukhovol, but it is better to choose the one located at the end of the village. The locals call it Shooter. Visiting hours are unlimited. You can get here by public transport by bus #184. By car, you need to go from Horodotska to the edge of the city, where you should first turn towards Sukhovoli, and then turn left before the village, without entering it. The entrance is completely free.

"Lviv Switzerland"

Lviv Switzerland is a wonderful recreation center right in the middle of the forest. It has all the necessary infrastructure: showers, toilets, locker rooms, parking, volleyball and football courts, children's play areas, a rescue station, and even a cafe. The beach here is clean, sandy, and the lake is not deep. Therefore, in the high season there is nowhere to drop a needle, you may have to rest on the grass.

The complex is open from 10:00 to 21:00. You can get here by bus #160, the distance to Lviv is 13 km. If you are traveling by car, take the ring road to Davydiv in the Kyiv direction.

Lake in the Roztochia Nature Reserve

Roztochia Nature Park is located near the village of Vereshchytsia. There are two lakes here, one of them is suitable only for fishing, and the other can be used for swimming. Although the water here is a bit muddy, it is warm. The lake is shallow and has a gentle entrance. This wonderful place is surrounded by a dense coniferous forest. Here you can rent a gazebo, grill, catamaran or boat. There are changing rooms, restrooms, and entertainment for children.

The beach is open to visitors from 10:00 to 20:00. If you are driving your own car, you need to go to Ivano-Frankivsk, but you need to bypass the city and turn right after 6 km. Or go in the direction of Novoyavorivsk and turn to Vereshchytsia.

Tartak Resort Beach

Tartak Resort is a recreation complex in the village of Berezhany, 10 km from Lviv. Here tourists will find a shallow, clean lake called Vulki. Here you can not only swim or sunbathe, but also go fishing. The area is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure: restrooms, changing rooms, showers. Umbrellas, sun loungers, barbecues, and gazebos are available for rent. The beach is open from 10:00 to 20:00.
