Some Ukrainian families will be able to receive an allowance from 25 to 40 thousand hryvnias from the SOS Children's City Organisation. We tell you who can count on the help and how to apply for it.

Who can get help?

Thus, foster families, family-type children's homes and families of guardians who are abroad can count on payments.

You should also know that payments will be provided to foster families, family-type children's homes and families of guardians (custodians) who have adopted two or more children under the age of 18 who are outside Ukraine at the time of application. Families in Ukraine travelling to certain countries to pick up a child from an institutional institution may also receive assistance.

However, accrual cannot be made in the territory of temporarily occupied territories and zones of active and combat operations.

35 000 UAH - paid to a person whose family has placed children who at the moment of application are in Germany and other countries of Western and Northern Europe (Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Ireland, Netherlands, France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, etc.).

In order to participate in the programme, it is necessary to apply to the authorised bodies and services for children's affairs in the place of residence. These authorities send a letter of granting monetary targeted charitable assistance.

The official request sent to the organisation's email [email protected] must contain the following information:

- applicant's data (full name, contact telephone number, place of actual residence as of the date of the request);

- confirmation of the fact of placement of children in a family form of upbringing (specify details of the decision on placement and add a copy);

- the location of the children at the time of the decision

- number of children;

- readiness of accompanying documents of the children for their return to Ukraine;

- approximate route and dates of the applicant's planned trip to the country of the children's stay, as well as notification of the applicant's need to receive monetary charitable assistance.

We remind you! Ukrainians living in Poland will be able to apply for three important types of support from the beginning of July. Each of them has its own peculiarities and conditions that you should know in order to receive funds. Who is eligible for assistance, how to apply and what documents are required for the application, we tell you here.
