24 August is not just an Independence Day for every Ukrainian. This date is a symbol of struggle, resilience and the desire for freedom that permeates the entire history of the Ukrainian people.

History has decreed that Ukraine has had a difficult fate: an eternal struggle for freedom and independence that continues to this day, when our country is repelling full-scale aggression from the russian federation.

Ukraine's struggle for freedom

It should be made clear at the outset that the Ukrainian nation has been striving for centuries to be independent and free. Its path to independence was long and thorny. For centuries, Ukrainians have been defending their land and culture from external threats and internal upheavals. Kyivan Rus, the Cossack Republic, periods of domination by various empires - each historical stage left its mark on the national consciousness, shaping the unbreakable will to freedom in Ukrainians.

In 1991, when Ukraine declared its independence, it was not only a legal act, but also the culmination of a centuries-long struggle. However, despite the formal acquisition of sovereignty, the challenges have not ended. In recent years, from the annexation of Crimea and the war in Donbas to russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, Ukrainians have been forced to defend their right to exist and independence once again.

Ukraine has not and will not surrender

Throughout its history, the Ukrainian people have demonstrated incredible resilience and willingness to fight for their freedom. Time and circumstances change, but the spirit of Ukrainians remains unchanged - the spirit of people who are ready to sacrifice everything for their future and the future of their children.

Today, despite all the horrors of war, Ukraine continues to stand and fight. Every day, on the frontline and in the rear, on the international stage and in every Ukrainian home, people prove that freedom and independence are values worth fighting for.

33 years - the age of prosperity

Today, Ukraine is 33 years old - the age of prosperity. This is the time when a country, like a person, matures, gains self-confidence and readiness to move forward.

Ukrainians have created a strong civil society and demonstrated to the world their ability to organise themselves and innovate.

Today's Ukraine is a country that not only survives, but thrives, despite all the challenges. A cultural renaissance, international recognition and support - all of this shows that Ukraine is on the path to prosperity and development.
