Moldova will create a system of registration of Ukrainian refugees: details
The state information system UAHELP is aimed at improving the coordination of assistance provided to displaced persons seeking asylum in Moldova due to the military actions in Ukraine. Read more about the update
A new state information system called UAHELP, designed to register Ukrainian refugees and support them, will soon be created in Moldova. This is reported by Newsmaker.
It is noted that the system will allow keeping records of refugee accommodation centers, as well as Moldovan families who host refugees and those who receive assistance from international partners.
Moldova will have a full record of refugees from Ukraine for the first time
On August 28, the Moldovan government is expected to approve the regulations of UAHELP. This system will register Moldovan families who host at least two refugees for a period of seven days or more, as well as refugees themselves who receive various forms of support.
One of the key functions of UAHELP will be the ability to track and record the financial assistance received by refugees and host families from international partners. This will ensure a more transparent and efficient distribution of financial resources.

In addition, the UAHELP system will create a database of all requests received by the Green Line and refugee accommodation centers.
The information on the system's website will be available in several languages: Romanian, Ukrainian, English and Russian, making it easy to use by a wide range of people.
The first year of the system's operation will be funded by international partners, and starting in 2026, 100 thousand lei will be allocated from the state budget.
