CASCO insurance in France
Tout risque motor hull insurance in France is a voluntary insurance that covers a large number of risks and can be taken out in addition to compulsory motor third party liability insurance.
Unlike compulsory civil liability (Une Assurance Responsabilité Civile), which covers damage caused to other road users, hull insurance protects the car of the person responsible for an accident.
The coverage of CASCO may vary depending on the tariff you choose and the insurance company. Usually, the policy covers road accidents, theft, damage caused by natural disasters and other unforeseen events, etc.

Car insurance in France for Ukrainians: do I need to take out a local car insurance policy?
Obtaining Une Assurance Responsabilité Civile is mandatory for Ukrainians who have re-registered their cars and obtained French licence plates or purchased a new car in France.
However, cars with Ukrainian licence plates are not required to take out the mandatory French motor third party liability insurance.
In turn, drivers of such cars are required to have a valid Green Card insurance policy.
The Green Card is an international insurance policy for motorists. If you have ever driven your own car out of Ukraine, you know that this policy is mandatory for crossing the border. However, it is also valid in France. The main thing is to keep track of the policy's validity and renew it in time.
If you have a valid Green Card insurance policy, you do not need to take out additional French insurance. Remember that the Green Card is valid not only in France and Ukraine, but also in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, so you will be under reliable insurance protection even when travelling to other countries.
