The capital is preparing to host the Unbroken Kyiv Marathon, which will take place on October 12-13, 2024. In this regard, traffic will be partially restricted in the city. We will tell you where and when to expect changes in traffic, as well as what significance this event has for the city and the country.

Schedule of traffic restrictions in Kyiv

According to the organizers of the Run Ukraine event, traffic restrictions will be partial, without complete street closures. In particular, traffic on the Northern Bridge will be limited to two lanes from the left to the right bank from Muromets Park to the exit to V. Ivasiuk Avenue.

The organizers also reminded that “road closures are an important and necessary condition for any mass competition and a guarantee of the safety of participants.”

● Saturday, October 12, 2024:

— Trukhanivska Street: from 10:30 to 18:30

Sunday, October 13, 2024:

— Trukhanivska Street: from 08:15 to 15:30

— Northern Bridge (from Troyeshchyna to Obolon): from 08:30 to 14:30

— Volodymyr Ivasiuk Avenue (from the Northern Bridge to the building 2GK2): from 08:30 to 14:30

— Obolonska embankment: from 08:30 to 14:30

— Pryrechna Street (from building 9 to Obolonskyi Island): from 08:30 to 14:30

— Lane between Obolonska embankment, 1 and Obolonska embankment, 3: from 08:30 to 14:00

Important! Closed road sections will be inaccessible to all types of public transport and cyclists.

It is worth noting that the city authorities took into account a number of factors when approving the decision to close the roads:

1. Social integration of the military and the wounded: The event will include a separate start for active military and war veterans.

2. Psychological support for Ukrainians: Sporting events have a positive impact on physical and mental health. The organizers note that this year's interest in participating in the marathon has doubled compared to last year.

3. Safety of participants: The organizers pay special attention to safety. There will be many more shelters along the longer route. In the event of an air raid alert, runners will be able to use the nearest shelter without forming crowds.

The organizers of the event Run Ukraine ask for understanding of temporary restrictions and inconveniences. We recommend that you plan your movement around the city in advance using alternative routes, taking into account the schedule of street closures.
