What is a temporary residence permit revocation?
Revocation of a residence permit is a mandatory procedure that must be carried out if the grounds for a foreigner's residence in Ukraine are no longer relevant. After the revocation, the document is returned to the migration service, and the foreign citizen must leave the territory of Ukraine within the period established by law (as a rule, 7 days from the date of revocation).
Important! The revocation of a residence permit does not mean a ban on further entry into the territory of Ukraine (unless a corresponding decision has been made due to violations of migration legislation or other reasons). Therefore, if a foreigner has the relevant documents and grounds, he or she can return to Ukraine at will.
Who can initiate the revocation of a residence permit?
The revocation procedure can be initiated by:
● The foreigner himself or herself
● State authorities of Ukraine
● Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine
