HELP

Since June 15, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has expanded the criteria for receiving financial assistance for Ukrainian families with children affected by the war and in need of financial support. Under the second phase of the "Together" Program, provided by UNICEF and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, payments will reach up to UAH 33,000 per family.

Who can participate in the program?

Unlike the first stage, from now on families belonging to one of the following categories can take part:

• Families with three or more children under 18;

• Families with at least one child with a disability under 18 years of age.

Importantly:

Assistance is provided to families, regardless of the status of IDPs, who are in any region of Ukraine and who have not received financial assistance from UNICEF or another international humanitarian organization after February 24, 2022.

It will be recalled that in the first stage of the "Together" program, funds could be received by families with three or more children under the age of 18, of which at least one child has not reached the age of two; and families with two or more children under the age of 18, of which at least one child has a disability.

The amount of financial assistance

The amount of assistance is UAH 2,220 per month for each family member, but not more than for five people. The benefit is paid once in three months to the bank account specified during registration.

How to calculate the amount of assistance?

It is necessary to use the formula: the number of family members x 2 220 UAH x 3 months. Example:

three family members: 2,220 x 3 persons x 3 months = UAH 19,980 assistance.

four family members: UAH 2,220 x 4 persons x 3 months = UAH 26,640 assistance.

five or more: UAH 2,220 x 5 people x 3 months = UAH 33,300 assistance.

Thus, the maximum amount of assistance can reach UAH 33,300 per family.

How to apply for the program?

You must apply at https://register.unicef.org/

In particular, the application form must indicate and check the correctness of information about all family members and the bank account to which you wish to receive payment.

After registering the application, there are two stages of verification:

Technical selection (lasts up to two weeks):

This is a check for the availability of all required data and the absence of errors. If the documents have passed the technical selection, the head of the family receives an SMS message to the number specified in the application.

Selection for compliance with the program criteria:

If your family meets the above criteria of the program and has not yet received assistance from any other international humanitarian organization, you will be credited. After the money transfer, an SMS message is received from the short number 4224 to confirm receipt of the payment.

Families that meet the new criteria and have already applied do not need to register again. Their data will be considered.

When will the funds be accrued?

Expect a money transfer SMS within 4 weeks of submitting your application.
