Ukrainians will soon receive a thousand UAH for books. This programme is in addition to the UAH 1,000 in winter eSupport. Find out how to apply for the funds and where to spend them
This week, 18-year-old Ukrainians will receive UAH 908 for books. This programme was announced back in the summer, so it is in no way related to the winter ‘ePerformance’ payments.
How can I use this money?
The money can be used to buy books in paper, electronic and audio formats published in Ukraine and in the Ukrainian language.
You can buy books only in bookstores that participate in the programme. The list of bookstores will be published on the website of Diia and the Ukrainian Book Institute.
Under the terms of the programme, parents can receive UAH 908 to buy books at the birth of a child. However, the payment will start on 1 January of the year following the termination or cancellation of martial law.

Purchases will be controlled
The expenditure of these funds will be controlled through MMS codes, which are codes assigned by the outlet and characterise the business line.
How to make a payment for books
Ukrainians who have turned 18 this year can apply for the payment. You can apply for funds through the Diia app.
Next, you need to select the eBook service, and then follow the link to open a special eBook virtual bank card in one of the banks of Ukraine.
If the application is approved, the money will be credited to the card. The money should be used within 3 months.
We remind you! Ukrainians can already apply for a winter allowance of UAH 1000. You can get the money through Diia, Ukrposhta, or a bank. We told you how to apply.
