The most famous ski resorts in Ukraine among both Ukrainian and foreign tourists are the following: Bukovel, Pylypets, Slavske, Dragobrat, Migovo and Krasiya. In this article, we have collected the main characteristics of each of them so that every tourist can choose something to their liking.


Bukovel


Season: December - April.

Features: One of the largest resorts in Eastern Europe with trails of all levels of difficulty.

Number of tracks: 62.

The length of the tracks: 68 km.

Difficulty levels of tracks: 8 - for professionals; 42 - of medium difficulty, 12 - for beginners.

Prices for ski-passes: for 1 sightseeing lift from 70 UAH to 1000 UAH.

Average cost of accommodation: from 4000 to 1000 UAH per day.

Additional locations: Purgatory cave, waterfall near the village of Mykulychyn, grotto in the Shuhayiv Stone rock, Chuhaystra cave, Chemehiv Canyon.

Slavske


Season: November - May.

Special features: can be visited all year round.

Number of tracks: 11.

The length of the tracks: 22 km.

Difficulty levels of trails: 1 - for professionals; 7 - of medium difficulty, 3 - for beginners.

Prices for ski-passes: for 1 sightseeing lift from 15 UAH to 250 UAH.

Average cost of accommodation: from 250 to 4500 UAH per day.

Additional locations: Mount Trostyan, Khashchovanske Lake, Seven Winds and Pogar gazebos, Church of the Descent of the Holy Spirit, Kryivka.


Dragobrat


Season: November - May.

Special features: the highest mountain resort in Ukraine.

Number of tracks: 9.

The length of the tracks: 22 km.

Difficulty levels of the trails: 6 - for professionals; 3 - of medium difficulty.

Prices for ski-passes: for 1 sightseeing lift from 50 UAH to 200 UAH.

Average cost of accommodation: from 800 to 3000 UAH per day.

Additional locations: Strukivska church, Trufanets waterfall, Svydovets waterfall, Gerashaska lake, Urda meadow.

Pylypets


Season: December - March.

Features: one of the oldest ski resorts in Ukraine.

Number of tracks: 12.

The length of the tracks: 20 km.

Difficulty levels of the trails: 2 - for professionals; 6 - of medium difficulty, 3 - for beginners, 1 - for cross-country skiing.

Prices for ski-passes: for 1 sightseeing lift from 50 UAH to 200 UAH.

Average cost of accommodation: from 800 to 3000 UAH per day.

Additional locations: Shypit waterfall, souvenir market, Museum of Wooden Churches, Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Borzhava meadows.

Migovo


Season: December - April.

Features: has a compact location and good layout.

Number of tracks: 5.

The length of the tracks: 3.5 km.

Trail difficulty levels: 1 - for professionals; 2 - of medium difficulty, 1 - for beginners, 1 - for snowboarders.

Prices for ski-passes: from 300 to 500 UAH for 1 lift.

Average cost of accommodation: from 800 to 4000 UAH per night.

Additional locations: Church of St John of Suceava, Bison Reproduction Centre, Historical Museum, Vyzhnytskyi National Nature Park.


Krasiya


Season: December - April.

Special features: includes slopes for freeride enthusiasts.

Number of tracks: 11.

The length of the tracks: 3.5 km.

Difficulty levels of trails: 10 - for professionals; 1 - of medium difficulty.

Prices for ski-passes: from 300 to 400 UAH for 1 lift.

Average cost of accommodation: from 400 to 4000 UAH per day.

Additional locations: Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Uzhok Pass, Arpad defence line, St Michael's Church, Kostrynska Roztoka.
