Contract students of higher educational institutions who are registered in the territories of hostilities, as well as those who are (were) in temporary occupation or blockade, will be exempted from paying tuition debts. This was reported by the Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet on his Telegram channel.

The debt for the second semester will be reimbursed by the state for 13,000 students. Such a decision will provide teachers and other employees of educational institutions with wages and help universities pay for utilities, the release says. Thus, in 2022, 86 million 814.4 thousand hryvnias will be allocated by the Ministry of Education and Science for further direction to higher education institutions.
