Ukrainian refugees in Malta will be able to exchange cash hryvnia for euros
The National Bank of Ukraine signed an agreement with the Central Bank of Malta on the exchange of cash hryvnias for euros. The program started on August 1.
The right to exchange Ukrainian hryvnia banknotes is available only to holders of a valid certificate of protection issued by the Agency for International Protection in Malta to recipients of temporary protection. Unaccompanied minors can obtain the service through persons whose guardianship or representation has been certified by an authorized authority in Malta.
Banknotes from 100 hryvnias will be accepted for exchange, in general, it will be possible to exchange up to 10 thousand hryvnias. The exchange rate will be set by the National Bank, and the Central Bank of Malta will not charge any transaction fees. Persons who have already exchanged hryvnia banknotes on the territory of another EU state within the permitted amount will not be entitled to this service within the scope of this program.
To use the service, you need to go to the Central Bank of Malta in person and provide a valid certificate of protection issued by the International Protection Agency in Malta, as well as your passport or other identity document issued by the authorities of Ukraine.
The service is only available Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The service is not available on Saturdays, Sundays, weekends and Maltese public holidays. The Central Bank of Malta will inform about the deadline for the completion of the program in three weeks.
The Central Bank of Malta is located in Valletta, the capital of Malta. It can be reached with help of public transport running to Valletta's main bus station. The entrance to the bank is from the side of the square where the fountain of Tritons is located.

The simultaneous stay of visitors in the hotel lobby not more than one person per 10 square meters of serviceable area is allowed.
Persons can visit hotels and stay there (outside hotel room) only if they wear respirator or face mask (including homemade mask), so that the nose and mouth are covered.
Hotel guests are obliged to keep the 1.5 meters distance.
Online check-in making in advance is recommended to avoid queues at check-in to hotel.
Meals in hotels are provided through meals delivery service to rooms upon prior order or at hotel restaurants situated inside or in open areas, provided the distance of at least 1.5 meters between seats at adjacent tables.
Not more than 4 clients are allowed to stay at the table (excluding children under 14 years old). Unless these tables are separated by a special partition;
Self-serve is not allowed.
