Martial law and mobilisation remain in force in Ukraine: the president has signed new laws that determine the further terms of the special regime in the country. The decision is already coming into force in stages and directly affects issues of security, service and the duties of citizens. Ukraine has extended martial law and general mobilisation for another 90 days. President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the relevant laws, and the documents have already been published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada.
How long have mobilisation and martial law been extended?
According to the decisions taken, martial law and general mobilisation will remain in force until 4 May 2026. Thus, the current security and defence measures of the state have been extended for another three months.

These are two laws that the Verkhovna Rada adopted on 14 January 2026. Law No. 4757 ‘On the Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine on the Extension of Martial Law’ (draft No. 14366) comes into force on the day of its official publication. At the same time, Law No. 4758 ‘On the Approval of the Decree of the President of Ukraine on the Extension of the Term of General Mobilisation’ (draft No. 14367) will come into force on 3 February 2026.
The current decision is the 18th extension of martial law and general mobilisation since the start of Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine. These measures remain key instruments for ensuring the country's defence capability and coordinating actions in wartime.
