Ukraine continues to implement an emergency livelihood support program, under which households can receive cash grants of up to 42,000 hryvnia. The program is aimed at helping people start or resume economic activities and create stable sources of income in wartime conditions.


The grant can be used to develop self-employment, small businesses, agriculture, or other activities that provide income for the family.


Who can apply?


Households from selected communities in the following regions can currently apply:


Zaporizhzhia

Cherkasy

Kirovohrad


The terms and conditions for submission depend on the community.

Where are applications currently being accepted?


Zaporizhzhia region:


Zaporizhzhia district, Mykhailivska community — until February 8, 2026


Cherkasy region:


Cherkasy region — until February 9, 2026


Kirovohrad region:


Kirovohrad region — until February 9, 2026


Please note! The current application period ends at 11:59 p.m. on February 9, 2026.


What can the funds be used for?


The cash grant may be used for:


the development or restoration of agriculture;

starting or supporting a small business;

self-employment, craft or manufacturing activities;

purchasing equipment, tools, and materials necessary for work.


The key condition is that the funds must be used to create or restore a source of income for the household.


Who can participate in the program?


During the application review process, the social and financial vulnerability of the household is assessed.

Priority is given to IDPs and residents of communities affected by the war, provided they have at least one of the following documents:


confirmation of residence or registration in the territory included in the List of Combat Zones;

medical certificate of injury or psychological trauma as a result of the war;

document confirming the loss of a breadwinner due to hostilities;

certificate of disability due to war;

act on damaged or destroyed property;

IDP certificate;

combatant certificate.


Vulnerability categories (must meet at least one)


households with internally displaced persons;

households where at least one family member aged 50+ is unemployed;

families with three or more children under the age of 18;

households with children under the age of 2;

families with children under the age of 18 headed by a single mother or single father;

households with family members with disabilities (groups 1 or 2), chronic illnesses, or those who require expensive treatment;

households consisting only of elderly people (60+);

households where all members aged 18–49 are unemployed.


Preference is given to applicants who do not have permanent employment and/or a stable income.


Important! The applicant and their family members must not have received similar financial assistance from the ERC or other organizations during the last 12 months at the time of application.
