After a trial period, Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air has decided to extend its new Wizz Class service, already popularly known as “business class,” to its entire route network. As of February 9, 2026, the service will be available on all of the airline's flights. This is stated on the carrier's official website.

The decision is explained by high demand: even during its limited launch, the innovation exceeded the company's expectations, especially among business travelers.

Where Wizz Class was tested

Wizz Class was initially introduced on flights from six bases: Budapest (Hungary), Bucharest Otopeni (Romania), Warsaw (Poland), London Luton (UK), London Gatwick (UK), Rome Fiumicino (Italy).

After receiving positive feedback, the company decided to make the service available on all routes.

What is included in Wizz Class

Wizz Class is not a separate class of service in the traditional sense. The low-cost airline retains its single cabin model, but offers increased comfort for passengers in the first row. Under the terms of the service, passengers receive:

● a reserved empty middle seat (1B or 1E) in the first row;

● extra legroom;

● a free non-alcoholic beverage;

● a snack during the flight.

In fact, this is an opportunity to fly with more space and comfort without switching to the classic business model.

How to purchase Wizz Class

The service is only available as an additional service during booking. It can be selected in the Smart or Plus packages, which already include: priority boarding and hand luggage weighing up to 10 kg. It is not possible to purchase Wizz Class separately without the corresponding package.

If you are planning your trip in advance, it is convenient to check flight availability and compare options through the ticket booking system on Visit Ukraine. The platform allows you to find airline tickets, as well as train or bus tickets, which is especially relevant for combined routes in Europe.

Why Wizz Air is expanding the service

According to Wizz Air Commercial Director Silvia Mosquera, demand for Wizz Class exceeded the company's expectations even during the testing phase.

"After testing Wizz Class at six of our bases and receiving exclusively positive feedback, it became clear that passengers — especially business travelers — appreciate the extra comfort and space that this service provides. Even with a limited initial launch, demand exceeded our expectations. That is why we are now expanding Wizz Class across our entire network, giving more customers access to extra space and comfort, while remaining true to our efficient single-class model," she said.

In this way, the company is trying to combine the low-cost model with additional options for those who are willing to pay for comfort but do not want to switch to traditional airlines.
