In 2026, Ukrainian graduates abroad will be able to take the national multi-subject test and enrol in Ukrainian universities without having to return to the country. Special examination centres will be opened in various countries in Europe and around the world for this purpose. Find out in which countries you can take the NMT in 2026 and how to choose a convenient location.
Ukrainian applicants who are abroad due to the war will be able to take the national multi-subject test (NMT) in 2026 not only in Ukraine, but also in a number of foreign countries. This will allow graduates to retain the opportunity to enter Ukrainian universities, even if they are temporarily residing outside the country.
Testing abroad has been made possible thanks to cooperation between the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Centre for Educational Quality Assessment, regional assessment centres, diplomatic institutions and educational organisations in various countries around the world. Thanks to these agreements, special examination centres are being set up where participants will be able to take the test in conditions as close as possible to those in Ukraine.

When to register for the NMT
Registration for the NMT begins on 5 March and will continue until 2 April 2026. Applicants are advised not to delay registration, especially those who plan to take the test abroad.
The number of places in foreign examination centres is limited. If the limit of participants in a particular city is exhausted, that location will become unavailable for selection in the registration system.
If, after registration, a more convenient city for testing becomes available, participants will be able to change their registration details and select a new location until 7 April inclusive.
How the NMT is conducted abroad
Testing will take place in specially equipped temporary examination centres. Ukrainian-speaking teachers who have been trained at the Ukrainian Centre for Educational Quality Assessment will work there.
The procedure for conducting the NMT abroad fully complies with the testing format in Ukraine. This guarantees transparency, equal conditions, and objective assessment of results regardless of the country where the exam is held.
