The payment of 1,500 UAH has been postponed until May: who will receive the money by the 25th
Not all Ukrainians received the one-time payment of 1,500 UAH in April. For certain groups, the payment was postponed until May due to specific calculation procedures. Find out who qualifies and by what date the funds will be received
In 2026, some Ukrainians will receive a one-time cash payment of 1,500 hryvnias not in April, like most others, but in May. This is a special payment intended for pensioners and certain categories of citizens. Here’s who exactly has had their payment postponed and why this happened.
Who will receive the payment in May?
Most recipients have already received 1,500 UAH by April 25. At the same time, some Ukrainians will see these funds in their accounts later—approximately by May 25.
According to a representative of the Pension Fund, the payment was postponed for those citizens who:
had their pension or social assistance approved shortly before April 1, 2026;
were unable to have their payments processed in April due to technical or procedural issues.
In such cases, the one-time benefit will be retroactively calculated in May along with the current payments.

When exactly will the money arrive?
No exact payment date has been announced; however, according to the approved schedule, social payments are made monthly from the 4th to the 25th. This means that most recipients should receive the funds by May 25.
The reason for the delay in payments lies in the calculation mechanism. If a pension or other benefit was granted at the end of March or in April, the system may not have included the person in the lists for the April payment.
In such cases, a separate procedure applies:
the main payment (pension or benefit) is calculated in April;
the additional one-time benefit is paid in May.
Who is eligible for the 1,500 UAH benefit?
The one-time payment is intended for:
pensioners;
certain categories of socially vulnerable citizens;
defenders of Ukraine;
Chernobyl accident liquidators.
Important: For most recipients, an income limit applies—the amount of the pension or social benefits must not exceed 10 subsistence minimums for non-working individuals (in 2026—25,950 UAH).
However, this restriction does not apply to military personnel and Chernobyl accident liquidators—they receive the benefit regardless of income level.
Can you receive multiple payments?
Even if a person qualifies for this benefit under multiple grounds, only one payment will be issued. Double payments are not permitted.
If you did not receive 1,500 hryvnias in April but meet the criteria—there is no need to worry. In most cases, this is related to the date your pension or social assistance was granted. The funds should be credited to your card by May 25 along with other payments.
Reminder! Social assistance in Ukraine may undergo significant changes: some of the current benefits are planned to be abolished and replaced with basic assistance. Find out what Bill No. 15094 entails, who will be affected by the reform, and how the new support system will work.
