Daffodil Valley 2026: When They Bloom, How to Get There, and What You Need to Know
The Daffodil Valley in Zakarpattia is one of Ukraine’s most famous natural attractions, drawing thousands of visitors every year during the spring bloom. This year, due to weather conditions, the timing has shifted, and the peak of the blooming season falls precisely on these days. Learn more about the current bloom status, admission fees, and rules for visiting the nature reserve
Every year, Transcarpathia attracts thousands of tourists with a unique natural phenomenon—the mass blooming of daffodils in a nature reserve near the city of Khust. This year, due to the cool spring, the flowers bloomed more slowly than usual, and the valley is currently at the peak of its blooming season. UNIAN recently reported on this.
How much admission costs, what you can see within the reserve, and what rules you should follow—we’ll cover all that in this article.
The peak of daffodil blooming in Transcarpathia: what we know so far
The first daffodils in the Kireshi tract began to bloom as early as late April, but lower-than-usual temperatures significantly slowed the process. According to the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, as of last weekend, about half of the valley was covered in flowers.
The rest of the daffodils are expected to bloom this week. Consequently, the coming days are the best time to visit, as the valley will be covered in flowers to the fullest extent. Keep in mind that the full bloom period usually doesn’t last long, so it’s best not to delay your trip.

Admission fees for the Valley of Daffodils and visitor guidelines
There is an admission fee to visit the “Valley of Daffodils” nature reserve. An adult ticket costs 100 hryvnias. The funds go toward the maintenance and protection of the reserve, which has the status of a nature reserve.
There are strict rules of conduct in effect on the premises. Visitors are permitted to walk only on specially constructed wooden paths—stepping off them is prohibited, as this may damage rare plants. The daffodils in the valley are narrow-leaved; this species is listed as rare, so preserving their habitat is a priority for the reserve’s administration.
