How can Ukrainians get a visa upon arrival in Jordan?
You can apply for a Jordanian visa upon arrival at Aqaba Airport, Queen Alia International Airport, or at most border crossings. You do not need to do anything in advance. Upon arrival at the airport or border crossing:
1. Go to the visa counter, which is usually manned by two immigration officers. One of them will ask you questions about your trip, and the other will check your documents and stamp your visa.
2. Present your passport, return ticket, hotel reservation confirmation and pay the visa fee. The cost of the visa is 40 Jordanian dinars (about 60 US dollars). The visa at the airport can be free if you purchase jordanpass in advance - a single online ticket for most tourist attractions in Jordan.
What is Jordan Pass?
Jordan Pass is a combined ticket to more than 30 of the most popular tourist attractions in Jordan.
If you buy the Jordan Pass before your trip, you can visit any of the places included in the Pass (there are 36 of them) without paying anything else for entry.
3. You may also be asked if you have sufficient funds to stay in the country, so it is advisable to have bank statements with you.
4. After receiving the stamp, you can officially enter Jordan.

What to do if your foreign passport is about to expire
As of October 29, 2025, Ukraine has abolished the military rule that allowed foreign passports to be extended and information about children to be added to them. Now, only valid biometric passports are accepted for travel abroad.
Therefore, if your document has been “extended” or information about children has been added to it, you need to apply for a new biometric passport.
Where can you apply for a new passport?
- In Ukraine — at the offices of the State Migration Service, CNAAs, or branches of the State Enterprise “Document”.
- Abroad — at embassies or consulates of Ukraine, as well as at branches of the State Enterprise “Document”, if they operate in your country.
If you are abroad and have an “extended” passport
If the border service of another country does not allow you to leave or does not accept the document when entering Ukraine, contact the nearest embassy or consulate of Ukraine.
There you can obtain an identity card for return to Ukraine (the so-called “white passport”). It is issued on the day of application — free of charge for children under 16 and for a consular fee for adults.
