Online help, tours, donations, Visit World, Ukraine Brave Awards and others: results of Visit Ukraine's work in 2022

In 2022, Visit Ukraine provided and continues to provide assistance to everyone who needs it 24/7. The beginning of the war became a starting point for us for new projects and initiatives. We talk about our achievements, which were launched since the beginning of the year and are aimed at support and assistance

The year 2022 turned out to be the most difficult in the lives of most Ukrainians. Despite all the challenges, difficulties and anxiety of uncertainty, we have proven that we keep moving forward.

Moving towards one's own goals, towards improvements, towards victory - this is what motivates every Ukrainian and the VisitUkraine team.

The beginning of the war became a starting point for us to start new projects and initiatives, which are primarily aimed at supporting internally displaced persons, providing Ukrainians abroad with truthful information and, most importantly, helping the Armed Forces.

Help and support of Ukrainians

From the first day of the full-scale invasion, the main focus of our work was to support the refugees and help the army. These two directions guided our activities as Polaris. After February 24, all work was focused on helping Ukrainians, who needed it more than ever.

VisitUkraine.Today hotline, where everyone could get advice on entering or leaving Ukraine, evacuation from hot spots, contacts of the necessary state institutions, etc.

We have changed the format of our work from helping foreign citizens crossing the Ukrainian border to helping Ukrainians and foreigners with issues of evacuation, departure, receiving social, humanitarian, monetary aid and thousands of other important questions, how to act in a critical situation. Since February 24, 2022, we have managed to help more than 210,000 citizens online.

Another measure we have implemented is the establishment of a charity fund to help IDPs.

Charitable activities for the army and immigrants

It will not be a surprise that we, like the majority of Ukrainian companies and ordinary citizens, have made charitable activities a priority. Together with you, we collected a significant amount, which we transferred to the needs of the army. In 10 months we:

897,000 hryvnias were transferred to help IDPs thanks to your donations;

1,000 heated seats were handed over to the Kyiv Metro;

500 blankets were purchased for heating stations;

3 thousand units of patriotic merch were sent abroad.

Support of defenders' morale

Financial assistance is extremely important, because without special clothing, equipment, medical drugs and other necessary things, it will be even more difficult for the defenders to fight. At the same time, one should not forget about the mental state, because being in a constant vortex of news, worries and uncertainty has a detrimental effect on health.

In order to improve the mood of Ukrainians at least for a few hours and to collect donations, we held a charity concert "100 days of indomitable Ukraine". It became the first live performance of artists in Kyiv since the beginning of the full-scale war.

The funds received from ticket sales went to the needs of refugees and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the amount collected during the broadcast on Facebook and YouTube was donated to the "Return Alive" fund. Young and well-known artists performed at the concert, including PROBASS ∆ HARDI, MAMARIKA, ALICE CHANGE and SKRYAGA.

• More than 500,000 hryvnias were transferred to the armed forces of Ukraine.

Tribute to heroic cities

Every city in Ukraine was affected by the war. However, our heroic Kharkiv, Mariupol, Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipro and Kherson suffered terrible damage. Unfortunately, the list of destroyed cities is much longer. We want to tell about each of the cities, that's why we launched a YouTube project about unbreakable cities — Ukrainian cities. In short videos, you will see how these cities live, how they survived the days of occupation or terrible shelling, and how the citizens hold on in difficult times.

Support of domestic tourism

This summer, the VisitUkraine team created the largest bank of tours in Ukraine. We understand that sooner or later people get tired of everything and want to get away from routine problems for a few days.

We offer more than 200 different tours - everyone will find an offer to their taste. Browse our tours and choose what you like: active, individual or family vacation, winter or city tours.
