What documents are required to issue an ID card?
• Birth Certificate;
• Passport of a citizen of Ukraine of one or two parents;
• Certificate of residence registration (if available);
• registration number of the taxpayer's registration card or notice of refusal to accept it (if available).
In addition, a certificate of registration of a person as a citizen of Ukraine may be required (if the applicant's parents/parents at the time of his/her birth were foreigners or stateless persons, or in the case of the person acquiring citizenship on the territory of Ukraine).
In cases where the applicant, for good reasons, is unable to submit the specified documents, the verification of his or her citizenship of Ukraine is carried out using the records of the State Technical Service, other state and unified registers, and information bases owned by the state.
Also, a person from 14 to 18 years of age who has a registered place of residence — when issuing a passport, can, if desired, submit a request to receive a registration number of the taxpayer's registration card with subsequent reflection in the passport.
Submission of documents and payment
Acceptance of applications for registration of passport documents is possible both by appointment and on a first-come, first-served basis.
As for payment, it is made directly on the spot - using the online payment service. To do this, you need to have a smartphone and a bank card or its details with you, since cash payment is not yet available.
How long to wait for the document?
The first ID card of a citizen of Ukraine is issued within 20 working days. When receiving a ready-made passport, a verification procedure is carried out, so the presence of the person in whose name the document was issued is mandatory.
If the person does not collect the passport within three months from the date of its arrival at the "Passport Service", the completed document is returned to the territorial division of the State Migration Service for safekeeping.
