The passport service is opened in two other European countries: how to issue documents for Ukrainians in Slovakia and the Czech Republic
Citizens of Ukraine will be able to submit applications for the issuance of passport documents in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, where separate units of Document State Enterprise have begun work. Learn more about which documents are available for registration
The State Migration Service of Ukraine is launching two more branches of SE "Document" in Europe. Now, Ukrainians can issue documents in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. How the branches will work, read below.
Currently, branches of SE "Doсument" provide service in the test mode in the capitals of Slovakia and the Czech Republic - Bratislava and Prague. In the cities of two European countries, there are mobile and technical complexes - specially equipped white minibuses with the "Passport service" symbol.
This is what cars look like, where Ukrainians can issue documents:
Where can you find mobile complexes, and how will they work?
• in Bratislava at the address: Mlynskénivy 5A, 821 09 Bratislava (-1st floor, bus station area);
• in Prague at the site behind the Kotva shopping center/OS Kotva at the address: Náměstí Republiky 656/8, 11000, Staré Mesto, Praha 1.
Citizens are served from Monday to Saturday, including from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the order of electronic and "live" queues.
What services will be available to Ukrainians:
- issuing an ID card or foreign passport (including replacing a lost or stolen one);
- exchange of an ID card or passport (in connection with expiration, change of information, unfitness for use);
- exchange of a 1994 model passport for an ID card (upon request or in case of unsuitability);
- simultaneous issuance of a foreign passport and an ID card.
Also, starting next week, Ukrainians will be able to exchange driver's licenses in these cities.
As for the payment of services, it is carried out on the spot using the online service (there is no cash payment). To pay, you must have a smartphone and a bank card or its details.
In addition, it is now possible to exchange a Ukrainian driver's license in the Czech Republic. The corresponding service is provided by means of mobile software and hardware complexes of the State Enterprise "Document" in Prague.
📍 Address: Prague 110-00, Náměstí Republiky 656/8 (parking lot of the Kotva shopping center).
The exchange of a driver's license is carried out when a person has a physical document on the following days:
- Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m;
- Saturday from 9:00 to 14:45 local time. Sunday and Monday are days off.
The service of certificate exchange is provided:
• in case of changes in the driver's personal data (when the person has changed his/her surname, name, patronymic or gender);
• when the validity period has expired (relevant mainly for driver's licenses issued for the first time);
• in case of damage to the driver's license (damaged, unreadable records);
• at the request of the holder, to obtain a modern license.
The service of exchange of Ukrainian driver's license is also available in Slovakia:
📍Address: Bratislava, 821-09, Mlynské nivy 5A (territory of the bus station - 1st floor of the Nivy center shopping center).
It is possible to exchange driver's licenses:
Tuesday - Friday from 9:00 to 16:00;
Saturday - from 9:00 to 14:45 local time;
Sunday and Monday are days off.
The service is provided when a person has a physical document and leaves it with an employee of the State Enterprise "Document".
Please note that the service of restoring a Ukrainian driver's license abroad is not yet available.
