How to buy Ukrzaliznytsia tickets for international flights? (updated)

Ukrainians can travel to European Union countries by train. Railway flights depart from a number of Ukrainian cities and connect to various countries, including neighbouring states. However, tickets for not all flights can be purchased from Ukrzaliznytsia. Therefore, find out where and how to buy them
Over the past two years, Ukraine has launched many international flights to the European Union and neighbouring countries. Here is a list of all the flights and where to buy tickets
It should be noted that most tickets can be purchased on the website or app of Ukrzaliznytsia, as well as through the company's chatbot. Some tickets may require verification via the Diia app.
POLAND
Directions: Chełm
Train connections:
Train №19/20 "Kyiv - Chełm - Kyiv";
Train №23/24 "Kyiv - Chełm - Kyiv";
Train #93/94 "Kharkiv - Chełm - Kharkiv";
Train 119/120 "Dnipro - Helm - Dnipro".
Tickets can be purchased in the chatbot, on the website of Ukrzaliznytsia and at the ticket office. You can also buy tickets on the website of the Polish company PKP.
Direction: Przemyśl
Train connections:
Train 51/52 "Kyiv - Przemyśl - Kyiv";
Train #89/90 "Kyiv - Przemyśl - Kyiv";
Train №715/716 Intercity "Kyiv - Przemyśl - Kyiv";
Train 705/706 Intercity "Kyiv - Przemyśl - Kyiv";
Train 73/74 "Kharkiv - Przemyśl - Kharkiv";
Train 32/33 "Zaporizhzhia - Przemyśl - Zaporizhzhia".
Train No. 36/37 "Odesa - Przemyśl - Odesa".
Tickets are available on the website of Ukrzaliznytsia and at the box office.
Directions: Warsaw (very difficult to buy due to high demand)
Train:
Train 67/68 Kyiv - Warsaw - Kyiv.
Tickets are available at ticket offices and on the website of Ukrzaliznytsia, search for Warsaw-Wschodnia station.
AUSTRIA
Destination: Vienna
Train connections:
Train №749 "Kyiv - Vienna - Kyiv";
Train 146/143 "Chop - Vienna - Chop".
Tickets are available in the UZ app (Google Pay / App Store) and at the ticket office. To purchase in the app, you will need verification via Diia.

HUNGARY
Destinations: Budapest, Záhony
Train connections:
Train No. 749 Kyiv - Vienna (runs via Budapest, so you can also get to the Hungarian capital);
Train No. 31 "Mukachevo - Budapest";
Train No. 33 "Mukachevo - Budapest";
Train #140 "Chop - Záhony - Chop".
Tickets are available at ticket offices and on the website of Hungarian railways (only for the section from the Ukrainian border).
CZECH REPUBLIC
Directions: Prague
Train connections:
Train No. 715 "Kyiv - Prague - Kyiv" - runs with a change in Przemysl, Poland;
Train of the Czech carrier Regiojet "Chop - Prague - Chop".
Tickets for the train No. 715 are available at the ticket office and for the Chop-Prague flight on the website of the carrier Regiojet.
SLOVAKIA
Destination: Kosice
Train connections:
Train 961/960 "Mukachevo - Kosice - Mukachevo";
Train 963/962 "Mukachevo - Kosice - Mukachevo".
Tickets are available in the UZ app and at the ticket offices.
MOLDOVA
Destination: Chisinau
Train 351/352 "Kyiv - Chisinau - Kyiv".
Tickets are available in the app and on the UZ website.
ROMANIA
There is no direct connection between the countries, but you can get there with a transfer, in particular by train 351 to Moldova. Thus, at 08:08 am, the train will arrive at the Ungheni station in Moldova, which is located near the border with Romania. There, you need to go through customs and change to train No. 821 Chisinau - Iași - Falcon, which departs from Ungheni at 09:51 and arrives at 11:13. From the station you can get buses to the city centre and the airport. Find all possible routes to get from Romania to Ukraine here.
It's also worth noting that you can check the schedule of all international flights here. In addition, you can buy some tickets at a favourable price by using the booking service on the Visit Ukraine website.
