Kadyrov is a key figure in the russian political system. His probable death could destabilize the situation in the Chechen region. Find out who benefits from the Chechen leader's death and what is already happening in the republic amid the news about the dictator's critical condition
For about a week now, information about the critical condition of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov has been circulating online. There have been many speculations about his health on the Internet, and some have claimed that Kadyrov is dead. Let's find out what is happening to the Chechen dictator and how the situation will turn out if he dies.
Where did the information about Kadyrov's illness come from?
Last week, the first publications from Chechen activists and various media outlets appeared online saying that Kadyrov had fallen into a coma. However, this is not the first time that rumors of the Chechen dictator's poor health have surfaced. Back in early March 2023, they started talking about the politician's serious illness, but these conversations have recently gained new momentum.
According to several sources, the head of Chechnya has kidney problems. And in July, Chechen opposition leader Tumso Abdurakhmanov said that the politician was near death due to kidney failure.
Later, the media reported that Kadyrov had undergone a kidney transplant, but it did not work.
On the one hand, all these talks are spread without any specifics. However, the information about Kadyrov's deteriorating health is a fact, as the Chechen leader has recently put on weight and his skin color has changed significantly, which probably confirms the assumption of kidney problems.
The media also report that Kadyrov's plane has recently visited Moscow three times, and he is likely still there.

It's official! Kadyrov is in serious condition
Amid the online comments, Kadyrov's health condition was commented on by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine. A representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Andriy Yusov, said that the Chechen politician is in serious condition, but still alive.
"We can confirm that he (Kadyrov - ed.) has had another severe exacerbation and has been in a very serious condition for the past few days," he said.
Russia is also not silent about Kadyrov's illness. For example, the other day, Kremlin spokesman dmitriy peskov was asked what was happening to the head of Chechnya and whether it was true that he was ill. Peskov replied that he "can hardly give information about Kadyrov's health." Thus, the Kremlin neither denied nor confirmed the information.
At the same time, the Chechen leader's PR people are doing their best to demonstrate that their employer is in good health.
What happens if Kadyrov dies?
The death of the head of Chechnya could both destabilize the situation in the region and be beneficial to the Kremlin.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, the struggle for power redistribution has already begun.
"Because Kadyrov's regime is deeply subsidized. And these are all funds from the russian budget and not only. A number of businesses, including those in the occupied territories and beyond. And the fight for this "inheritance" is already beginning," Yusov explained.
However, the intelligence service believes that Kadyrov's death may have positive consequences for the fighters for the independence of Ichkeria, as well as other enslaved peoples of the Caucasus. And Yusov is confident that they will take advantage of this chance.
At the same time, the death of the Chechen dictator may also be in the Kremlin's favor, as putin and his team have recently continued to purge their "competitors," and given Kadyrov's position-his private army and influence in Chechnya-he may compete with putin's cronies.
At the same time, in the event of the Chechen leader's death, we should not expect any dramatic changes in the situation in Ukraine, at least in the near future.
We remind you! U.S. officials have claimed that russian military leaders were involved in Prigozhin's mutiny. Read here to find out who knew about the uprising in advance and what impact it could have on the war in Ukraine.
