The popularity of the Carpathians in winter has always led to a significant rise in vacation prices, but during russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the cost of such trips has increased even more. After all, Transcarpathia is one of the safest regions of Ukraine today not only because of its geographical location near NATO and EU member states, but also because of the almost complete absence of critical infrastructure in the region that could be targeted by russian attacks.

So, how much will a vacation in the Carpathians cost this season and how to travel more profitably - we will tell you further in the article.

Planning a vacation in the Carpathians on your own or taking a tour: which is more profitable?

If you are planning to go on a trip on your own by booking a hotel in the Carpathians, you should keep in mind that such a trip will cost a little more than organizing a vacation through a tour operator. There are two main reasons for this:

1. Hotels artificially increase the cost of accommodation during the peak season due to the large influx of vacationers.

2. Tour operators have the opportunity to accommodate tourists in rooms on more favorable terms (at lower prices) because they have contracts with accommodation facilities.

It is also worth considering that it is not always possible to find free hotel rooms for the desired dates during the peak season. And most likely, you will have to choose not from what you "want" but from what you "have".

In addition, organizing a trip on your own will take more than one hour. After all, the trip should be thought out from the beginning of your route to the return home: tickets to and from the vacation spot, accommodation, meals, transfers from the hotel to attractions, leisure activities, etc. So not everyone has the time and opportunity to plan such a vacation.

How much does a tour to the Carpathians cost in winter?
