Flights to Israel: where are the flights scheduled from?
Starting January 8, 2024, the German airline Lufthansa, together with its subsidiaries Austrian Airlines and Swiss, will resume regular flights to Israel, which were suspended on October 9, 2023 due to the escalation of the military conflict in the region.
The first Lufthansa aircraft departed Munich for Tel Aviv on January 8. A Swiss airliner also flew to Tel Aviv from Zurich, and an Austrian Airlines flight from Vienna is scheduled for January 9.

Lufthansa and its subsidiaries plan to operate 20 flights a week, which is a third of the previous number of flights.
The airline offers flights, in particular, from Munich to Tel Aviv three times a week and from Frankfurt four times a week. Swiss plans five weekly flights from Zurich to Tel Aviv, while Austrian Airlines will provide 8 flights from Vienna.
"This schedule provides convenient connections from Israel to North America and back via hubs in Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, and Zurich," Lufthansa representatives explained.
At the same time, European low-cost airlines Wizz Air and Ryanair do not currently plan to resume flights to Israel. Ryanair's flights to this country have been canceled until the end of January, and Wizz Air's flights - until March.
