Exchange of Ukrainian driver's license abroad: where to go and what documents are needed
Ukrainian driver's licenses can easily be exchanged abroad in countries such as Poland, Germany, Spain, Czech Republic, Italy, Slovakia and Turkey. Find out more about where exactly and how much it will cost
Today, Ukrainian refugees living abroad can easily exchange or obtain any state document, including a driver's licence. We will tell you in which countries you can exchange your licence and what you need to do.
Rules for exchanging a driving licence
Note that this document can only be exchanged if the licence expires, or if the driver changes his or her name or surname, or if the document is lost or damaged.
Drivers can replace the document with another one, which is issued for a period of 30 years. This also applies to drivers who want to exchange their first driving licence after its expiry. Such an exchange takes place without passing exams, but provided that you have not committed more than two minor traffic violations in two years and there have been no accidents with victims.
What documents do I need to replace my driving licence?
It is important to note that when applying for a replacement licence, you must provide your previous driving licence. Therefore, it is not possible to obtain a licence if lost abroad.
