The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has expanded the functions of territorial recruitment and social support centers (TRC and SSC). This was announced by Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, on Telegram.

The government has decided to allow these institutions to operate around the clock.

Here are the changes and what military commissariats can do now.

New opportunities for TRC representatives

According to the report, representatives of the TRC receive additional functions:

• Consideration of cases and application of administrative penalties: they can now consider cases of administrative offenses and apply appropriate penalties around the clock in accordance with the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses.

• Medical and psychological examinations: they will ensure the organization of regular medical examinations and psychological examinations of persons liable for military service and reservists through military medical commissions, in particular in the case of district TRC and the Support Service.

• Registration of conscripts and vehicles: these institutions are now responsible for the personal registration of conscripts, persons liable for military service and reservists, as well as the registration of vehicles transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations during mobilization or martial law.

What should I do after receiving a call-up?

During the issuance procedure, a potential conscript should pay attention to the appearance of the call, as well as its contents: the address of the TRC (territorial recruitment center) to which he or she must report; the specific date and time of arrival; and the data of the person invited to the military commissariat.

Do not be alarmed, as most often, the summons is issued to verify military registration data.

The following documents must be brought to the military enlistment office:

• passport;

• military ID card (temporary ID);

• service record card;

• a mobilization notice.

If there are grounds for postponement, you should also bring the relevant documents with you.

After appearing at the military enlistment office, a potential conscript is sent to a military medical commission to determine his degree of fitness. Upon completion of the commission, he is recognized as fit, partially fit or unfit.

It is important to know that you can avoid going to the military enlistment office for only a few reasons: illness, caring for a sick relative or the death of a relative, a natural disaster, or taking exams to a university.

We remind you! The updated draft law on mobilisation in Ukraine states that summonses to the Territorial acquisition centre will be sent online. How such a mechanism will work and why there are already many questions to it, we examine here.
