Ukraine banned from joining NATO and territories for russia: media have learnt new details of Trump's peace plan
The former US president has repeatedly emphasised that he can end the war on Ukraine in 24 hours, but he has not commented on how exactly he plans to do this to the public. Read more about the details of Trump's "peace plan" revealed by journalists of The Washington Post and Politico
Former US president and presidential candidate Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated a penchant and sympathy for putin, both during his presidency and during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, his public rhetoric and election campaign were often based on claims that he could end the war in Ukraine in one day, in particular by negotiating a peace agreement within 24 hours of his election to the US presidency. However, he refused to disclose details of the "peace plan". The Washington Post and Politico learnt exactly how Trump planned to end the war in Ukraine from people who were familiar with the former president's plans.

No NATO and no territory for rf
According to Politico, Trump prepared a draft to end the war in Ukraine, as he claims, within 24 hours of his return to the White House. It is exactly about the project, not about a ready-made solution.
Thus, the publication, citing two national security experts - Trump supporters - reports that Trump wants to offer putin an agreement under which NATO pledges not to expand eastwards - not to take Georgia and Ukraine into the alliance. The two sides would also negotiate over how much of Ukraine's occupied territory moscow would be able to keep for itself.
According to Politico, such a plan would end NATO's vague promise of Ukraine's future membership - a policy that Biden has continued, although he has not committed to a timeline.
One of the publication's sources indicated that Trump probably won't try to ensure Ukraine "returns to the 1991 borders." At the same time, he does not rule out the possibility of "supplying large amounts of weapons to Kyiv."
What territories does Trump want to give to russia?
As it has become known, in private conversations, the former US president has repeatedly said that he could end russia's war against Ukraine by forcing Ukraine to give up the occupied territories. This was reported by WP journalists with reference to statements by Trump's interlocutors and his adviser.
Thus, according to sources who privately discussed this issue with Trump or his advisers, the former president's proposal is to push Ukraine to hand over Crimea and Donbas to russia, the publication writes.
In addition, a person who discussed this issue directly with Trump said that, in the former president's opinion, both russia and Ukraine "want to save face, they want to find a way out," and that people in some parts of Ukraine would allegedly not mind being part of russia.

At the same time, the newspaper notes that recognizing russian control over parts of Ukraine would expand the scope of putin's dictatorship after the largest land war in Europe since World War II. And some of Trump's supporters are trying to convince him to prevent such a development. Among them is Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, a former Trump critic who later became his ally
"I spend 100 percent of my time talking to Trump about Ukraine," he said, adding that putin "has to pay a price, he can't win this."
In addition, Graham said that he tried to encourage Trump to support Ukraine's accession to NATO, because, in his opinion, this is the way to end the war, but he emphasized that the former president "doesn't talk about it very much" and added that he did not know "if he has thought about it very much."

How did the Trump campaign comment on the peace plan?
According to WP, the Trump campaign declined to answer questions directly when contacted for this article.
"Any speculation about President Trump's plan comes from unnamed and uninformed sources who have no idea what's going on or what will happen," campaign spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said in a statement, adding that "Trump is the only one talking about ending the killing."
